If you go to Poland, Wroclaw is one of the cities that you cannot miss. Medieval City Hall Square, cathedrals, fantastic restaurants and bars, very nice people, very reasonably priced.

Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy architecture, look for souvenirs or want to sit on a terrace enjoying local food. The restaurants are not cheap here, but offer tasty food.
There are not enough words to describe the Old Town of Wroclaw. We stayed in a hotel 100 yards from the Square. The buildings in the whole Square are absolutely stunning, everyone painted a different colour. Probably the most beautiful city I have ever visited. We walked around several times, both day and night and ate our evening meals in the Square - there are many restaurants and coffee shops, not to mention icecream (Lody) shops. We did a tour in a buggy, similar to a golf buggy and then walked the route as well. We did not know that 75% of the town was destroyed in WWII. All has been restored very sympathetically. The Church in the Square is also worth a visit. My friend and I had a great time discovering all the little dwarfs and photographing them. Bought a miniature one home as a souvenir too. Would love to return one day.Krakow Square was beautiful, but this one was stunning!
We stayed in an apartment in the square which always had a buzz and a nice friendly atmosphere. only down side was the church bells that went off every hour.....even through the night, although in the main square we didnt feel it was expensive, and restaurants around were good,
