“Great traditional Polish bar/restaurant”
Reviewed 6 February 2014

We picked Lubu Dubu based on the reviews already on Trip Advisor as we fancied trying some Polish food as on many previous business trips to Wroclaw hubby had frequented the Masala Indian restaurant instead. And we were pleased we did.
We popped in earlier in the evening to reserve a table and they asked for a deposit of 40 zlotys each as it was a Friday night and it was to prevent no shows. When we came back at 8.30 the place was packed. It's a really friendly bistro where we appeared to be the only non locals - always a good sign!
We started with the steak tartar and the potato and cheese perogies followed by pork cutlet and pork stew with potato pancake. They don't serve them in courses so don't be surprised if the dishes come at different times. We loved the lot - my perogies were beautifully soft and tasty and the pork cutlet was succulent. Hubby's steak tartar was obviously made with high quality ingredients and seasoned well and the pork stew was good (but the pancake was huge so hubby couldn't eat it all).
We were made really welcome by the staff and ended up sampling various vodkas before we left - not great when you have to be up at 5am for your flight home though! And thanks to (we think) the Bar Manager who helped interpret for us.
Overall a good place to go, great prices and highly recommended. We will definitely return if we go back to Wroclaw.

“Not to be missed...”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

I only had a day and a half in Wroclaw, but I won't forget this gem of a bistro - it's worth seeking out. I had the best pork cutlet that I've ever eaten - moist, succulent, and very garlicky, and the potato and vegetable accompaniments were equally delicious (especially the tsatsiki, which I'm determined to replicate at home) With a half-litre of beer the bill was 20PLN - incredible value for what felt like genuine Polish cuisine, beautifully cooked and attractively presented.

“Worth a walk from Market Square- you will find so much more than great food”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

If you are looking for a true taste of Polish food at a VERY reasonable price - you have to come here. The owners created a very unique atmosphere by incorporating a decor from the 80's and service from 2013! This place is a short walk form the Market Square but I will go back there instead of choosing a restaurant on the square.
It is NOT an elegant expensive restaurant but an authentic way to experience Polish food.
