We picked Lubu Dubu based on the reviews already on Trip Advisor as we fancied trying some Polish food as on many previous business trips to Wroclaw hubby had frequented the Masala Indian restaurant instead. And we were pleased we did.
We popped in earlier in the evening to reserve a table and they asked for a deposit of 40 zlotys each as it was a Friday night and it was to prevent no shows. When we came back at 8.30 the place was packed. It's a really friendly bistro where we appeared to be the only non locals - always a good sign!
We started with the steak tartar and the potato and cheese perogies followed by pork cutlet and pork stew with potato pancake. They don't serve them in courses so don't be surprised if the dishes come at different times. We loved the lot - my perogies were beautifully soft and tasty and the pork cutlet was succulent. Hubby's steak tartar was obviously made with high quality ingredients and seasoned well and the pork stew was good (but the pancake was huge so hubby couldn't eat it all).
We were made really welcome by the staff and ended up sampling various vodkas before we left - not great when you have to be up at 5am for your flight home though! And thanks to (we think) the Bar Manager who helped interpret for us.
Overall a good place to go, great prices and highly recommended. We will definitely return if we go back to Wroclaw.
