“Nothing special, but good value for money”
Reviewed 24 July 2010

The hotel is located just outside city centre, about 10 minutes walk from the main square. Neighbourhood doesn't look very nice - construction site nearby and the street leading to the centre is dark and looks abandoned. The parking in front of the hotel is free of charge (there is also secure parking inside, not very expensive).

The room was OK, rather small, but clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Equipped with TV and electric kettle, some free snacks were also available. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is little bit overpriced - you can get something better in one of the cafes near the main square.

We booked using Campanile website and we got discount price of 99 zlotys (PLN) for double room, without breakfast - for that price this hotel is a really good deal.

I stayed here in June 2010 for 2 nights with my friend. The price to stay there is really good value......BUT....its not worth it. The room was small but clean. The air conditioning did not work. I reported this to reception and I was told to go back to my room and check the electricity box in it! I don't feel I'm qualified enough to mess with the electricals in a hotel.

Eventually someone came to the room the next day to fix the air conditioning but it still did not work. Even if it did work, you cannot set the temperature of your own room. You have to go to reception to ask them for the temperature you would like.

The view from the room was intimidating. The room was never cleaned eventhough I left the sign on the door to clean the room. I had to ask reception for clean towels.

The hotel website says it is a 10 minute walk to the Market Square. During the daytime this 10 minute route is okay but still quite intimidating. At night, its simply dangerous.
You would be better off paying extra euro to stay in the city centre and to get some nicer accommodation.

This place simply is nothing more than ok. Don't get me wrong-I actually can't say anything bad about Campanile. The rooms are clean. The staff is all right. There's a guarded parking. But somehow it doesn't have its own character. My guess is this a good place for business travelers. It's not far from the centre of the city, but the neighbourhood doesn't seem very inviting. Btw we didn't have breakfats caude it was simply overpriced.

This Hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are excellent. The receptionists speak good English and are keen to help at all times. We stayed for 4 nights. The room was clean with a double bed, bathroom with bath and shower, TV in Polish, French and German but no English channels. We had a hairdryer in the room and a kettle. Two bottles of water appeared daily at no extra charge. Towels were always available and the room was kept spotlessly clean. The hotel has a gated car park at the back costing 3 zwoty a day. There is also free parking at the front of the hotel. It is built on the banks of the Odra and the Dining Room overlooks the street that separates the hotel from the river. At the front of the hotel the trams move up and down day and night. Our room overlooked the front and for the first 2 nights we slept soundly. Nights 3 and 4 we heard the trams through the night. On the first floor of the hotel - overlooking the car park - is an open terrace with talbles and parasols. It also overlooks the large crane that is constructing flats. It's difficult to drive to the hotel as you have to drive down one road, do a U turn and then drive along the bank of the river to access the hotel. All the surrounding streets are cobbled so it's a rough ride by car or taxi. Attached to the hotel at the front are some flats and there are more flats behind the construction site.
We had booked a room with buffet breakfast and the breakfast selections was excellent. Fresh fruit salad, cereals, croissants and rolls plus a selection of breads and a toaster. Pork loin and several salami's were filled constantly. There were cheeses, fruit juices, hot drinks and hot eggs and sauages. There was plenty to eat and guests constantly left with fruit and bread - no one stopped you from this practice.
From the hotel you can walk into the main square in 20 minutes. It's really accessible. In the flower square we ate at a restaurant called Inspiration and the bill for 6 meals with drinks came to just under £40. The food was excellent. Freshly prepared with divine sauces.
Around the hotel there is nothing to do - no shops at all - so it's location is the only thing to find fault with.
But it's clean, friendly and serves good food at a good price so I'd go again.
