“time for reflection”

So simple yet so sad. To stand in the actual cattle trucks used to take people to the camps is one of the most emotional things I have ever done. A very dignified memorial.

“Emotionally powerful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

I was traveling with a group of teachers studying the holocaust and following in the footsteps of some local survivors in the US. This memorial is extremely powerful and well done. It was very quiet and peaceful and I thought an excellent tribute to the lives that were lost.

“Heart breaking and important”

A truly haunting place, particularly the cattle wagons. For those of us that only know of WW2 and the Holocaust via history books it is a must see. The small museum on the platform is also worth visiting and has some confronting but important images
