We ended up at Estera by chance, having a short walk in Płock. At lunchtime the place was empty. The waiter brought us the menus, but forgot to ask what we would like to drink. After a short consideration we took tomato soups and half a duck with pears and cranberries. We got large portions of soup after 10 minutes of waiting, but we couldn't eat them. The soup was full of sugar! We told the waiter we would not eat that and he took away our plates. After another 20 minutes we got our ducks, but to our surprise it was only half portion. We asked the waiter what happened and he said we had ordered it that way. Huh? So we had our halves of half duck, with a half of a pear from a tin can and 2 boiled potatoes. The duck was completely dry and totally tasteless. A total distaster for two hungry people. We told that to the waiter. He said he didn't know what the chef prepared, but told us we didn't have to pay for it. So we left Estera, hungry and desperate to eat something.
