“A pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2013

I stayed a single evening before attending a wedding in a small town south of Poznan.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was little difficult to locate by its address using the gps. However I found it at the end of a redevelopment street after a few minutes of searching.
Hint: it is at the end of the street next to the traffic circle
From the moment you enter the front door you know you are in a class act. Very, very avant garde interior design that extends throughout the entire structure, not just reception. Each room has a unique but understated theme.
The front staff operated at a very high service level. Perfect English was spoken everywhere. They quickly produced an adapter to change my iPhone on the first request.
The rooms are beautifully appointed. My night there it was one of the years hottest evenings in that part of Poland. Fortunately the room was equipped with an electronic, hand held control that worked perfectly.
The old town is a quick 3 minutes walk away. The food was great. There were a couple of good desert places.
In the morning the breakfast was served from an immaculate buffet. An outside patio was also available for seating under the trees.
Your vehicle can be parked, at no charge, a few feet away in a parking lot that is attended 24/7
Finally, everything was so inexpensive the whole experience was refreshing.

Room Tip: All seemed good.

Stayed here for 3 days recently. Very welcoming, friendly staff....2 minutes after we'd arrived in our room we were given complimentary glasses of chilled white wine...after 4 hours on the train from Gdansk this was a lovely welcome gesture. We had the Havana room which is one of the larger rooms...and worth paying a little more for the extra space. It overlooked a car park so not a picturesque view but we weren't there to stay in our hotel room all day! The air-conditioning was first rate. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate, with a deep bath with shower. The hotel location was excellent...just a leisurely 10 min stroll to the Stare Miasto ( Main square in the old town). We had breakfast on the first morning....cooked options available and nicely presented. The other days we were happy to have a later breakfast in the main square. Would happily return here. We asked the hotel reception to order a taxi for our trip to the airport...and we got a very reasonable price..half the price quoted from one of the taxis on the rank near the hotel which was 50 zloty!

We stayed 4 days in this hotel in the middle of July. Once the taxi stopped in front of the hotel we were terrified as the surroundings weren't great, derelict buildings around, doggy looking shops etc. But as it turned out it was very close to the market square, 5 min walk away from the market square.
The check in was very quick, the receptionist insisted on giving us a welcome drink which we refused, just wanted to get to the room as soon as possible after 30 min drive from the airport in a very hot weather. Something to remind us from bad experience from Egypt... a welcome drink...are you having a laugh!!!
The deco of the hotel is great, we absolutely loved it. Our room was junior suite-a Paris theme with a terrace. The view out of the terrace wasn't the best - overlooking a car park.

There were a couple of drawbacks in the room: above the bed there was a window, which was very bright in the mornings, it kept us awake very early. Secondly there were 2 TV sets, but only one of them had English channels, the second one only polish ones. It wasn't a problem for me as I am polish but my English boyfriend was a little bit annoyed by this.
There was a coffee machine in the corridor but we weren't lucky enough to find anything apart from chocolate. The coffee shops are not that popular in Poland yet so it would be nice to get one cup before I needed to shoot off one day without a breakfast.
Very clean hotel, but there were some dead flies inside the ceiling lamp or spider webs in the corner but nothing that will keep you awake.

The best thing about this hotel is it's staff, they were professional, friendly and very accommodating. They never failed to say 'hello' or to offer assistance but didn't once intrude on our personal space. We've stayed at quite a few hotels and the service here was by far the best we've ever experienced.

Overall it is a great small hotel. I wouldn't give it 5* just because it doesn't have a swimming pool, a spa or fitness centre that you would have expected from a five star hotel.

We will definitely be going back there...

Its is not a 5* star as it doesn't have a spa, swimming pool or a

We stayed here for one night while visiting Poznan. The location is quiet and close to the center so perfect for a city vacation. The double room we stayed could offer very stylish interior and had a separate room for chillin' :) breakfast they offer was very good and served by a friendly staff who really made the stay in total something to remember.

I was here for the Kraftwerk concert and I must say that everything was perfect, from the welcome glass of wine to the goodbye cookies. Everyhing is perfectly cared for, in every detal, service is very professional but also friendly, amazing breakfast, great quality but also lots of things to eat! :-D Last but not least a great, perfectly working TV set (it may seem strange but they are so rare in hotels...) room service was also perfect.

Despite our initial difficulties in finding the hotel, there is a large willow tree right in front of the hotel blocking the size. We arrived early due to our early morning flight but we were able to check in straight away. The room was nicely decorated and finished to a high standard, we had the Beijing room. The extra living room area with a desk, TV and sofa was very handy to have. The only criticism was that the bed was pushed up against the wall on the one side which meant that one of us had to wiggle up and down the bed to get in and out. It seemed unnecessary seeing that there was a wardrobe next to each other and that shuffling the furniture around would have left enough room to access both sides of the bed. The toilet also is a little close to the sink so you have to fit your legs under the basin.

The staff were great, remembered us every time we came back and gave us the right key. We had fudge left on our pillows most night with the next days weather forecast. Wifi was also very good. We thought breakfast was a little too expensive for us in comparison to the cost of the room so we did not have this at all during our stay.

Other than that, the hotel is in a great position to Poznan's old town square, its a few minutes walk and near enough to pop back to the hotel during the day should you need some respite.

If we ever do find ourselves back in Poznan, we would stay here again.
