Ibis Poznan Old Town
Ranked #8 of 74 Hotels in Poznan
Reviewed 30 July 2012

The hotel is clean and the room is good. This is a basic hotel with minimum facilities in the room. It was a business trip for me and it suits the purpose. It is around 15 minutes walk to the square, following the tram line opposite of the hotel. The staff at the hotel is very helpful but sometimes there are not enough staff that can speak English, hence you can find yourself waiting for 30 minutes at the reception. There is free wifi at the lobby area and you have to pay if you want wifi in your room. Sometimes you can get the coverage of the free wifi in your room. Check it out first before paying for wifi in your room.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel can receive the free wifi coverage.

Excelent location. Walk few minutes along tram tracks and younreach the old town market area.
Rooms basic, no HBO unfortunately so can't relax before sleeping. Bathrooms basic. No toiletteries. 1 towel per person. No hand towel. No slippers or robe. No free wi-fi in rooms. No free breakfast and pricenfor breakfast too much for variety, quality and service provided. Cleanliness of tables during breakfast v poor. No choice of eggs. Only hard boiled. This is below standard. Parking underground too expensive. Mattress good. Unfortunately only 1 pillow per person.

Room Tip: All rooms are similar however ones with an additional bench (instead of sofa) slightly bigger.

It's really not much to say about this hotel, especially that we stayed here only for one night. Price was ok, we slept fine, it wasn't dirty, everything needed was available. I can't write anything specifically bad or good about this place (which can be a value on its own to some people ;)), beside that while given a good price I wouldn't worry to stay here again.

I need to remember that this is an Ibis 2 star hotel, but I would still like some carpet in the rooms. Gent on check in was quite rude despite me trying my best to speak Polish. Also bar staff very short as if it was a problem to serve you. Last grumble was the breakfast. Poor selection, pastries overcooked etc. Rooms were small but the shower was good. TV reception very poor.

This is a really good hotel for the good price. I would like to stress the fantastic, very nice and very friendly staff. The location of the hotel is great. I appreciate the flexibility of the staff to make my stay pleasant. Thank you very much for my stay. I recommend your hotel for everybody who are going to stay for a couple of days in Poznan.
