I stayed at Hotel Lech with several colleagues. Having read the reviews before we left it is safe t say that we were pretty much all dreading arriving! We had already decided that, it it was as bad as the reviews said that we would move!

The hotel is pretty basic but is cheap, clean and centrally located - perfect if to use as a base if you're exploring the local area on a budget. My room was on the inside of the buiding and away from the main streets outside so was very quiet.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the street are noisy

Although this hotel is cheap & cheerful, it is clean and well situated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was quite good too - contininental plus either sausages or scrambled eggs. The only thing lacking for such a budget hotel was tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

-Room was 6ft/10ft
-Breakfast was one egg and one sausage
-Water for the bath was FILTHY
-Noise was unbearable
-Cleaners left your rooms wide open after they had cleaned them, no care for the laptop I had left inside.

Hotel Lech is cheap (30-40e/room) old-school hotel in central Poznan, 5-10 mins walk from both market square and railway station.
Rooms are what they are, old small short beds with furnitures from 70's. Toilets are recently renovated and clean though. Rooms that are street side are noisy because of traffic and trams so ask for room in the other side. You'll get more silent one but the view... well it goes together with rooms..

If you have ANY student card, ask for discount.

I also recommend to exclude the breakfast and enjoy it in one of the nice student cafes nearby. Also there is authentic "milk-bar" bistro just opposite of Lech where you can get good home food for ridiculous prices.

You may find a room here during the trade fairs as well. Recommendable if you wanna go for budget.

My boyfriend and I went to Poznan in May for 4 nights. As it was also a business trip, we were offered the Lech hotel for these 4 nights. So after reading the reviews, we were a little hesitant but still decided to give it a try.

When you walk in the hotel, the people are nice and friendly, everything looks nice and clean also. Then we were given our room... By mistake it was a single instead of a double room... But seeing the single , already made us realise what we were dealing with.

The hotel is clean, but the rooms are the size of a small toilet. The bed would fit me (I'm 5 feet 4 / 1m65cm), but my boyfriend (6feet/1m85cm) had half his legs sticking out of the bed! The bathroom is nice though, nothing bad to say about that.

Everything is clean, but it's just really old and TINY. So if you're a small person, by yourself and you just need something really cheap and simple and dont care about having room to change and all, then it's OK (I did not try breakfast though, can't comment on that).
But if you're on a small citytrip or business trip and can really use the relaxation after long walks or tyring meetings or shows, this is not the hotel for you.

About the location, Poznan is really not big at all, so the location is good, but then again in that same area of "good location" you'll find at least 20 other hotels (cheap too) as well!

Rooms are very basic, with 2 single beds pushed together to make a double. The rooms are noisy and vibrate when the trams go past every 10mins. The room smelt of cigarettes. I wouldnt bother going here.
