“One of the largest rooftop gardens in the world”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Wonderfull place for a stroll in the vibrant university part of Warsaw. The library in it self is quite odd, both architecturally and with an underground half empty mall. But in good weather the rooftop garden is amazing and offers great views too.

“A surprise not to be missed”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

This was brilliant, what an imaginative idea to turn the roof and walls of the university library into a botanical garden. As another reviewer has said, it is not easy to find the entrance but once you are there it is a pure delight. There are a series of walkways, some gravel some raised and some steps which take you through a wide range of plants from low growing conifers to vines, there is even a series of small ponds which presumably are filled with runoff water from the building. The views from the viewing platform add to the enjoyment. As I said, this is not to be missed and is just a short walk from the old town area.

“Great 'hidden secret' of Warsaw”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Absolutely worth a slight diversion from the normal tourist route to visit his place. It is a little difficult to find the entrance to the roof garden [from the small park to the north of the building], but once up there, not only are the views amazing, but there is a lot to explore in the garden itself. Kids would love it.
The building itself is also very interesting, both inside and out, a modern structure where the architects actually seem to have taken into consideration the needs of the users, as well as making it look stunning. On a very hot day, this place proved a life-saver, as we could go inside to cool off, have coffee and somehing to eat, and check out the books and posters for sale.

“Best free thing to do in Warsaw!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

On the top of the University of Warsaw's library is a beautiful garden. The layout is interesting with paved walkways, domes and lookout platforms. The view from the top is awesome and you can see out over pretty much the entire city. The best part about it is that it is free! The facade of the front of the library is also really neat. Not sure if you can visit the "library" portion of the building or if it is only for students.....
