This restaurant is very stylish and have really heavy atmosphere of old Warsaw ...
Food was delicious... but what I really enjoy was starter... The Tartar made in front of me... Cool.
While we cant eat cake, they pack it for us (without ordering it...cool) I was more than happy there.

We've been to this restaurant several times on different occasions - wedding meal including - but this review is for another family celebration.

We found everything excellent - from service through outlook to food. The waiters are very helpful and polite. The managers are flexible and able to make specific arrangements for different occasions. It is possible to get some menu positions no longer available or to arrange for alcohols not sold normally (like Polish mead).

The interior is finished with wood (though this is actually just décor, not "real" superstructure) with solid chairs or soft sofas under windows and walls (we do recommend this option as much more comfortable). The ambient music is in-style.

The food is generally typically "old Polish" (with a touch of international meals here and there) so expect traditional, sating food.

We can recommend pork spare ribs from the oven, served with horseradish sauce and easily large enough for two unless they are really hungry. Pork knuckle is also very good, as are pork chops with mushrooms. Duck, branded as a "speciality", is indeed a great choice, and if someone prefers beef then there's great, well-cooked beef steak available (unfortunately - served without broth) as well as minced steak from veal and buckwheat groats.

Soups are a very bright side of the restaurant, too. The flagship, Polish rye soup (aka "żurek") is an excellent, filling dish on its own, but other soups - broth ("rosół") or cucumber soup are also very satisfying. If visiting in summer, do try chilled beetroot soup ("chłodnik") for a refreshing beginning.

The entrées are dominated with beef tartar. If You take it in the "speciality" version it will be chopped, mixed and seasoned by Your table. Do take as much wild marinated mushrooms as possible!
Smoked salmon in honey is also an excellent choice. In season You can also get plum dumplings ("knedle") as a hot entrée or even a light meal, which we recommend.

No meal is complete without sides and these offer several types of potatoes (we recommend purée), cucumber & sour cream salad ("mizeria") and hot cabbage fried with mushrooms (sauerkraut-style) among others. If one doesn't like potatoes there's rice, fries and buckwheat groats too.

If we were to find something not perfect about the restaurant it's the choice of drinks, which are limited to Coca-Cola and Carlsberg brands; if one hopes for a small, local brewery choice than it is not the place. Still, the wine menu offers several positions and for pre-organised events it can easily be expanded.

There are some parking places by the street (though it is easier to park on the side opposite to the restaurant) but the best choice is public transportation: there are five tram lines by the restaurant (each operating at 10' headway in peak hour, 15' off-peak and 20' in the evening) and also some bus lines nearby. The trams can get You to the Central Station (no 10), to the City Centre (no 4, 18 and 35) and to Służewiec office district (no 18); all the trams will get You to one underground station or another.

Had lunch here during our stay in Warsaw, we have been before and wanted to go again. From the outside it looks very ordinary but once through the doors you enter a different world. The place has a wonderful atmosphere, the food is what I would describe as "old school" Polish but served with style. I think the steak Tatar is the dish to go for presented and prepared at your table, very good hearty fare well cooked and presented. If you are visiting Warsaw I urge you to go here to get a taste of authentic Polish food, it's a little way out of the center but its simple enough to get a tram from the main train station it is certainly worth the journey we will be back again next time we are in Warsaw.

Where to begin, first off the service was professional and the food was delicious and exquisite (particularly the steak tartar). The atmosphere is great and the seating is spacious. I love the interior, being mostly mostly made of wood. I would suggest you dress appropriately (semi-formal).

Note - Might have difficulty parking though.
