“Wonderful”

I have only praise for the Polonia Palace. With so many reasonably priced weekend choices in Warsaw (and my, hasn’t that city grown up, it’s now every inch the cosmopolitan European capital!) it’s with some relief that this is the one we plumped for.

The foyer and restaurant have a graceful, understated elegance and the staff were an absolutely delightful mix of charming and efficient. Rooms are vast and the décor carefully considered with fabulous bathrooms and every conceivable amenity. The sports bar, with its frankly bizarre number of televisions, somehow managed to be something of a haven with a rather decent menu. Even the hotel limousine driver’s absurd stance that it was okay to bully a cyclist because they were cycling across a pedestrian crossing rather than pushing their bicycle (!) didn’t dampen our enthusiasm.

Well done one and all.

Polonia Palace is well worth the money. Location is OK with easy access to everywhere.

Rooms are fairly large (Executive) and comfortable. Bed is great, but o secure sleep quality ask for a room from upper floors. You can hear the traffic on 3rd floor.

Bojangles bar is OK and several local restaurants are nearby.

Hotel Taxi service (S-class Mercedes) to/from the airport costs PLN90, when regular taxis costs approx. half the price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on higher floors to avoid traffic noise.

Centrally located close to the train station and about 7-10 minutes walk from old town. Shopping centre and restaurants across the road on the other side and all around. Wifi fast and free in the lobby. 2-3 PCs also available in the lobby for internet use free of charge.Large atrium with plenty of place to sit and relax. Bar and restaurant at lobby level. I personally did not eat here but was told the food was excellent by a guest who had just dined there.Breakfast had a large selection and was excellent. The hotel is historic, having survived the second world war and has all modern amenities. I would stay here again.

Couldn't ask for a better hotel. 5 star quality. Staff great and very knowledgable and helpful. Rooms immaculate with every amenity. Breakfast was outstanding huge selection of food even champagne, the negative is they don't offer valet parking and their parking lot although conveniently located was awful to drive to in traffic I have no idea why they don't offer valet parking it would have been perfect if they did

I stayed here recently on a business trip, with a conference at the hotel. Only ate at the hotel once for dinner, which was very good. Nice, relaxed atmosphere in the Bojangles bar. Conference facilities good, apart from having to pay for internet. Vast choice on breakfast bar and rooms very comfortable.

Stayed here for a 4-day long weekend. Staff were charming and very helpful and the whole place had an air of understated elegance but with a very modern feel. Great Gym and Spa downstairs so good to relax in after a days sightseeing. Breakfasts were excellent with almost every conceivable option in terms of food and refreshment (including ice cold Vodka and Champaigne - which we did not try) - all of which was cooked and presented to a very high standard. Our Room was in the middle looking out over the Palace of Culture and Science (Palac Kultury i Nauki) which looks like Ghostbusters Tower. Very centrally located with the main Warsaw Train Station only 5 mins walk away and 22 mins to the Airport by train.

In short a wonderful hotel - reasonably priced and a pleasure to stay at. Would I stay again: without any hesitation whatsoever.

Room Tip: Ask for a view over the City overlooking the Palac Kultury i Nauki - it is spectacular at night
