“A very good hotel in a good location”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Firstly, your attention will be drawn to their beautiful lobby once you stepped in.
The room is spacious enough considering "the centre of the centre" location and a bath room
is equipped with a bath tab, also spacious and very comfortable to use.
You will probably be offered a coupon for a welcome drink at the ground floor bar.
Our room was luckily inner side of the building, so very quiet (no view though, inevitably).
As the hotel is facing with the noisy main street, street side rooms can be a bit noisy though I am sure the room window must be sound-proof, more or less.
My advice to you, if we are coming from Warsaw station, use the underground stairs to get there and do not try to cross the street, for there isn't a pedestrian crossing near the hotel.
Traffic is constantly busy all the time, so don't dare to cross for your safety!!!

The hotel is in the centre of the city and easy reachable from the airport by bus (number 175). The rooms are spacious (even the standard rooms are huge), with a big bathroom, safe and TV. They are quiet and equipped with a adjustable aircon. The staff is friendly.
Since we didn't book breakfast we're not able to judge the quality of the food.

Would higgly recommend this place; specially at those unbeatable rates!

Stayed here with Odysseys Unlimited tour. Loved it. Beautiful lobby, immaculate, charming. Rooms good size for Europe. Our stay in Warsaw was brief but locale seemed to,be good, we walked around happily and found many non- tourist restaurants. Don't miss the curved staircase between 1st and 2nd floors. Unbelievable breakfast. Loved the hotel and staff was very accommodating. We were there in2013 and wi-fi was in lobby only.

Great rooms and breakfast was outstandingly good. Great location
Reception staff were super- fluent English, great local knowledge and very helpful.
Only downside was the price of drinks in the hotel bar

Despite what another reviewer said the Wi Fi was free but officially limited. In practice reception provide extra passwords if you needed them!

Fantastic hotel. Could not be better placed in the center of the city. Excellent service and first class rooms. However wifi should not be extra. That is ridiculous for a hotel with this high standard.

I spent 3 lovely nights at this impressive building. After having ridden a train for about 6 hours from Berlin into Warsaw, I arrived at Warsaw Central station. It was past 2300, so I was a bit concerned that it would be a long walk from the station to the hotel, but actually it was a bit more than a 5 minute trip, on a warm summer evening. The Polonia Palace is located on a large avenue, close to another historic building: The Palace of Culture & Science... amazing architecture!
Good points at the Polonia Palace: the people at the reception are very knowledgeable, so ask them about suggestions on where to go and how. They lent me an electric adaptor when I told them the plugs of my gadgets did not fit the outlets in my room. My room, incidentally, was big, quiet, clean, with great furniture. A detail that I loved is that there was a bottle of mineral water (for free) on my night table, every night.
Maybe a point that could be bettered is the fact that wifi (for free) is only vailable at the reception area, because if you want to have it in your room, you ought to pay for it. There was a nice bar and restaurant on the ground floor that I did not use, but it was pretty popular with passengers and clients who were not staying at The Polonia Palace. There is a lot of public transportation around the hotel, so get your day ticket and travel as much as you can: you just validate once and are free to travel everywhere by bus, tram or Metro.

Great looking hotel from the outside and reception area but after that was fairly disappointing. Rooms were clean but had a very business like feel with no real character. Big bathroom with a lot of wasted space. Shower was small and one sink with a big wasted space in the middle. No dressing gown or slippers. Fitness area is very basic and changing room no where near the level of amenities for that level hotel. Location is good and staff were friendly enough but for the price and star rating of the hotel I was disappointed and wouldn't look to stay again. Shame.

Room Tip: Request to be located in upper floors so noisier from reception area doesn't affect. AC noise...
