“Surprisingly well equipped hotel”

I had to pop to Poland for 24 hours from Bucharest so wanted somewhere close to the airport to stay for one night. As usual I had been warned about the swarm of sharks on arrival - posing as taxi drivers, however, I had looked at the map and fancied a walk. The hotel is literally out of the airport, half a kilometre down the approach road and you can see the hotel over the trees. Having walked from the airport I was slightly filled with trepidation as the building was shrouded in scaffolding - never a good sign. However on closer inspection, they were installing / replacing the sound proofing. Once in the hotel I was greeted warmly, check in was efficient but the biggest surprise was my room. I was given 520, which is a corner room and although it was one able the "norm" I couldn't believe the size when I opened the door. In effect it's a suite so well with the money if staying longer than 8 hours!! Very comfortable bed - slightly out of the way so car / taxi needed.

Room Tip: Pay a little more for the superior room - well worth it.

from the reviews I was not too optimistic, however ever open I was prepared to give it a go and am glad I did
The reception staff were friendly and efficient. There is a restaurant down stairs with a bar area which is also quite pleasant.
My room [suite which I did not expect] was huge. Entrance vestibule, day room with sofa two chairs, TV with BBC news at least, desk and mini bar as well as coffee facilities, then the bedroom, double bed, ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over, really very nice.
Add to this a limited but acceptable gym and free wifi and we are on bit of a winner in my book. I didn't eat supper, but the breakfast was a very good selection of hot and cold buffet.
The only downer at the moment is that the exterior is being upgraded, so it does not look too good, but that is only temporary so we can forgive that.

Would I stay again YES especially at sub £100 for the night and with shuttle bus to the Airport which is very close. It makes snes e and is 50% cheaper than certain hotels closer to the airport, which whilst slightly larger and maybe a little plusher, I don't think are necessarily worth an extra £50

Room Tip: aim for a high up room, floor 5 or 6, away from road noise

Staff at the reception was very polite and quick when checking in and out. Rooms are adequate, clean. As I've been there only for 1 night I can't review any other hotel facility but rooms and hotel bar (on the top). It should be famous due to the view - with only 1 large window? not to speak about staff. as they had some event going on, there was almost imposible to get the dring at the bar. we have been asking minimum 3x and than aditionaly waited for half an hour. not acceptable.

Positive points:
- very close to APT;
- APT shuttle free of charge;
- very clean rooms;
- friendly staff at reception and restaurant;

Negative points:
- "Skybar" is on the 7th floor, quite faraway from the sky, so don't expect a superb view, it just indicates that it is under the roof;
- bartender in Skybar was pretty slow, not well self-organized and generally constantly confused (which lead to mess in bills the day after at the reception);
- breakfast was better average, the local food could be just more described;
- lack of independent plug sockets - the ones close to bed are in one circuit with general light switch, so don't disconnect the lamp to charge your phone overnight (unless you keep the lights on during the night :-)

There isn't anything nearby. Some facilities have additional charges, and nothing special here. There is not any shops around, but bus stop is just in front of the hotel.

They locked my mini bar for some reason and just...basic stuffs here, nothing really impressive...

Less than a 5 minute drive from the airport and also not too far outside the city itself. The hotel built around the year 2000 does not look much from outside but does the job inside. Rooms are fine, furnished in the correct way a decent size and the bathroom as well has all you need. The breakfast is very good with lots of choice as well. If you decide to eat in the hotel you will be surprised as the food is a reasonable price and of a good quality. We stayed 2 nights a the hotel at ate both nights there. Book this hotel it is not the height of luxury but you should not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Choice of smoking and non smoking rooms. WIFI works very well in all rooms and we did not get charge...

I had a room on the 6th floor - one Thursday night. There was a so called "Sky bar" above playing loud music till 1 a.m. Therefore I couldn't rest well.
Everything else was ok. Food was very delicious. My conference room at the ground floor was a little noisy - during lecture from time to time there was a noise I couldn't identify however it wasn't too bad.
