If you're in Warsaw, you just have to go to pay your respects, and it's near the wonderful museum of the uprising. BUT, if you go after October 2014, you must, must, must go to the new Museum of Jewish Life. It is 50 yards from the memorial, and it will be spectacular. I happened to get a pre-opening tour, and I promise that both the subject matter and the way it's presented will amaze you. Projectors, films, hands-on activities all tell the story of 1000 years of Jewish life in Poland. Very uplifting.
