Hilton Warsaw Hotel & Convention Centre
Ranked #10 of 129 Hotels in Warsaw
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 1 January 2014

I stayed here with my wife over Christmas for 4 nights in a King Executive Room. Overall the hotel is a standard Hilton - nothing spectacular, good service. We enjoyed our stay and the staff, without exception were all very helpful and professional. I have stayed at most of the 4 star hotels in Warsaw and the Hilton ranks somewhere in the middle. For the price paid the value was good - but this is Warsaw and all the 4 star+ hotels are in the same price bracket.

We arrived early and were checked-in to a room on the 26th floor (highest floor). The room was nice, had a good view, but nothing special. That evening we had to change the room very late in the night as there was a very loud noise making sleeping impossible. I phoned the front desk and they immediately knew that this was due to the air-conditioning generator on the roof. We moved to another floor and the problem was solved. Given their knowledge of this problem I am not sure why they didn't give us a quiet room in the first place.

The stay was uneventful and we had a good rest. As previous posters have mentioned this hotel is quite a walk from anything interesting (Shops, Restaurants), however there is a small mall attached with some shops, restaurants. Being Christmas all of these were closed - fair enough, so we mostly stayed in the hotel. The Holmes Place fitness centre is ok, but very busy when we visited.

Unfortunately, the Executive Lounge was a disappointment. It is very small and in the evenings gets exceptionally busy. The girls working there were all very nice and did a very good job, it was exceptionally demanding for them with the high volume. The problem is that the facility itself is pokey and constrained when full. I also found the overall quality (not quantity) of food on offer to be of a low quality compared to other Hilton Lounges I have experienced recently (Bucharest, Reykjavik, Baku). The food did not taste fresh or tasty - just bland. Alcoholic drinks on offer were exceptionally limited (two cheap Chilean wines, unknown brand of gin, vodka, martini, campari), no whiskey or digestifs on offer.

Room Tip: Avoid the 26th floor (see review)

I stayed in a corner room on a high floor and it was magnificent. The view of the city skyline of Warsaw was impressive. The heated main bathroom floor was a welcome touch in late December. The two room suite offered a second guest wash room. The executive floor lounge offered good snacks.
The hotel staff, concierge, bellboys, and room service, provided outstanding service.
Overall, the hotel, the staff, and the room were on par with the best hotels I have ever stayed.

I've stayed at this hotel a lot of times, since I go to Warsaw at least two times a year.

I agree with the other opinions, hotel got a great breakfast (I usually eat breakfast in the lobby restaurant, instead of the lounge), location is OK (one block away from tram stop, is fully acceptable, imho), staff is friendly, lounge is excellent (very generous happy hour hours :D ), and if you don't want to dine at the hotel, the restaurant Folk Gospoda is just two blocks away.

But there's one thing I hate, and that's the rules for playing/swimming in the pool with your kids. If you stay there Mon-Sun, your children are allowed to use the pool for six hours through your entire stay: Sat 3 hrs + Sun 3 hrs.
I know Warsaw probably isn't a great destination for families with kids, and I seldom see any children at the hotel, but one would expect the hotel (although I believe the pool and SPA isn't run by the hotel) to have slightly more generous pool hours for them.

Also pool/SPA staff aren't friendly to hotel guests (no money in them, I guess, they swim for free).

There are construction works in progress on the side of the hotel, facing the Warsaw uprising museum, which might be disturbing to some people.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for having stayed at the Hilton Warsaw and for taking the time to share your feedback of the stay.

I was pleased to see that you had enjoyed many aspects of your stay with us.

It concerned me, however, to read that you were not satisfied with the policy concerning the use of the swimming pool by children. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

As the fitness centre is indeed not managed by the hotel, our direct influence over their internal policies, is understandably limited. We do inform the Holmes Place management of our Guests’ feedback as well as make our Guests aware of the Holmes Place children policy and the limitations it imposes.

Once again many thanks for your feedback and we hope to be able to welcome you back to the Hilton Warsaw Hotel & Convention Centre soon.

We stayed here with friends for a four night city break early in December. Easy taxi ride from airport for 30 zloti (£6). Warm welcome on reception. Asked for and got adjoining room on a high floor and on final day were given a late checkout at nil cost. ("We will if we can." was very much the attitude.) Hotel is what you would expect and more of a Hilton. Rooms were well equipped, quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Because of our expressed wish to be near friends we were allocated what was described as a low allergy room which was very much devoid of soft furnishings - wood floor, wooden blinds, leather chairs - which seemed to be colder than the soft furnished room of our friends although this wasn't a problem for us.
Concierge was very helpful not only in advising local places to eat but also in recovering the wallet of one of our party who misplaced it in a taxi one evening when travelling to see the christmas lights. (He knew the driver, was able to contact him by mobile phone and arranged for him to return to the hotel, all within about 20 minutes!)
Breakfasts were wonderful and a very tempting start to the day with just about everything on offer you could possibly wish for.
There is a small supermarket in the adjoining complex from which you can obtain toiletries, sweets drink and snacks without having to go outside. A 'free' cash machine is a block away and two good Polish restaurants (Red Hog & Folk Gospoda) a little further than that. The hotel is 20 to 30minutes from the city centre/ old town respectively, an easy walk. The Uprising Museum is nearby and is well worth a visit to learn about the very difficult times faced by the city and its inhabitants, their desperate struggle for survival and the rebuilding of the city.
Visitors to Warwsaw should also tour the castle (amazing) and for light relief the Copernicus Science Centre which is full of hands on scientific exhibits to entertain adults and children alike!

Room Tip: High floors are quiet but the low allergy rooms (e.g. 2015) are not for those who are fearful of hei...

I stayed at this hotel in November 2013 for only one night whilst in Warsaw for a flying visit. For a major international brand of hotel such as Hilton, I was disappointed by the location. I decided to walk from the central train station which ended up taking me 30 minutes. The area is not the nicest around the hotel and it does feel a bit more "primitive" than right in the heart of the city centre which is beautiful. That aside, the hotel feels very luxurious. The bedrooms were of a decent size as were the ensuite bathrooms. All of the usual amenities provided as one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. Excellent customer service from reception who arranged a very early taxi to the airport - no problem at all. Food in the restaurant was excellent - very varied menu with lots of different cuisines. Business facilities were good. The executive lounge was excellent - plenty of hot and cold free snacky food provided as well as drinks.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor for a superb view of the city.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments regarding the stay at the Hilton Warsaw.

We regret to hear that you were slightly disappointed with our location, although it must be noted that guests tend to find easy ways to get around town from where the hotel is located. Taxis are very inexpensive and easily available on our doorstep and numerous trams and buses stop just a block away from the hotel.

It was a great pleasure to read that you appreciated our guest service, you found the food in our restaurant excellent, considered the business facilities good and enjoyed our Executive Lounge.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hilton Warsaw in the future.
Kind regards,
