This place was great. It was clean, comfortable and, best of all, Andrea was very welcoming and full of great ideas for things to do in Bled. In particular, her restaurant recommendations were perfect. Very highly recommended.

really friendly welcome, very helpful family. not just the enthusiastic guiding and knowledge and pride - but generosity of mind and spirit…"help yourself to anything from the garden…!" a real pleasure to meet such friendly, genuine people (ask for a demo of the hammond organ with a leslie speaker )

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Andrea's home recently and were so happy we picked such a lovely and welcoming place to stay. As soon as we met Andrea she was so lovely and really made us feel at home. The apartment we stayed in was lovely, clean, spacious and more then we could have asked for. The location is great too, within great walking distance of both sides of the lake. Andrea also wrote us out some great ideas for things to do and always available to answer any questions. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time in Bled.

Room Tip: we stayed in the upstairs apartment which was lovely and had its own balcony, kitchen, spacious bedr...

We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. At first, we didn't know what to do in Bled, but when we arrived Andrea gave us a sheet with the "Tips & Tricks" to enjoy our stay. (Restaurants, Activities, Cake Shop, etc...)

I shall admit that all the tricks she gave us were always an amazing experience. (We try almost all of them!) Andrea was really nice with us, and if you want any advice for hiking, restaurant or what to do next in Slovenia you can ask her.

Concerning the room, we were in the apartment at the 1st floor. It was really cheap but really nice, we also had a balcony and it was clean. The apartment is at less than 10 minutes walk from the center of the city (and the lake).

I you plan to visit Bled, go at Andrea's Home and you will not regret it!

This has to be one of the loveliest (if not the loveliest) place I've stayed on my travels. We knew the people of Slovenia were warm, welcoming, and hospitable from the last visit we had taken to the country - but the people of the little village of Bled, and Andrea herself, took what we already knew to new levels.

We had a taxi from the train station, who took us right to the door of Andrea's home. Andrea herself was just coming down the driveway in her car and started waving at us, telling us she was our host. She then let us inside to our very spacious, clean room (which we later found out was actually the smallest of the rooms she rented) complete with mini kitchen and ensuite. My sister and I unloaded our suitcases in to the room, while Andrea went about making us some coffee. She told us to wait for her outside on the table and chairs and that she would come out with the coffee's in a few minutes. All three of us then sat down on the table, where she had brought two maps, and a print out guide to Bled made by herself. I can honestly say, had it not been for that conversation where she recommended places for us to visit, we wouldn't have known about the majority of activities that we did while we were there. The bee museum and gingerbread workshop in the neighbouring town, the original Bled cream cake at the casino, and one of the best European meals i've had in my life at the Union Restaurant. Her husband is just as lovely and accommodating, teaching me how to use the 70's rock jukebox!

Through the taxi driver that had picked us up initially at the station, we had found out that the airport was in fact halfway between Bled and Ljubljana. We had planned to stay two nights at Andrea's home, and then to make the train journey back to Ljubljana for the third night before our flight. On finding out that the airport was halfway between the two, we wanted to see if she'd have any spaces for the third night that we wanted to stay. Instantly she went and checked, letting us know there would be no problem and that we could stay there. She was so truly happy for us, and sat there reminding us of things we could do on our third day. She also let us know of an economy bus that knew all the flights leaving the airport for any particular day, and that would pick us up for €12 per person, instead of a hefty €45 we had initially been offered by the taxi driver who had taken us to Andrea's home at the start of the holiday. So she called them for us, and organised for them to pick us up around 2 hours before our flight (short distance to drive and a small airport!).

On leaving day my sister and I went rowing in the morning, then got back to the home an hour before the car was due to take us to the airport. We sat down with Andrea outside, and had a lovely chat about how she has lived in her home her whole life, and how everything she makes from renting it out only goes back in to the house to make it better for guests. Throughout our stay I had felt like she was an Auntie looking after us, hugging my sister and myself and waving us off. I cannot speak highly enough of Andrea, her home, or her family. They are such lovely, welcoming people, and their home is just beautiful. For anyone that wants a home from home experience, this is the perfect place for you. There is nothing to fault, and when I visit Bled again - I know where I am staying.

We chose this apartment based purely on the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like long lost friends and treated like this for our whole week long stay. Andrea gave us maps and advice where to go in terms of sightseeing, eating and generally for our further trip throughout Slovenia. We cannot recommend Andrea's House enough.

We stayed in an upstairs apartment with our two children. The bedroom was huge with lots of cupboard space and a balcony looking out on to the quiet street. The children slept on the sofa bed and camp bed in the living room at the back. It was a perfect size for what we wanted and so quiet. The location is beautiful at the back of the small town but so very easily walkable to everywhere. Bled is so stunning and the lake is awesome for swimming. I wish we could have spent more time here as we felt so at home and happy here.

This is not five star luxury accommodation but it most definitely is five star welcome and hosting.

I've stayed in many B & B establishments where the hosts were really friendly and knew everything about the places to go and things to do, but I've never known anything like this.

Having barely said hello to them for the first two days - we knew the area so had just got on with it - we had a tricky day on the third in terms or organisation, travel and bags. But they simply solved it all for us, providing space, changing facilities and lifts to where we needed to be. They're both such lovely people and take such a delight in helping others.

We stayed in an apartment and it was tremendous value - more space than the two of us needed, really - and an impressive fan without which we'd have had no sleep - it was impressively hot during our time there. In terms of location it's 10 minutes to the lake front, but food and supermarket are closer. It's actually very close to the 'Union' bus station where many buses going out of town stop, including the tourist hop-on hop-off bus (which is great value).
