Booked into stay here last minute and it was worth it!
The hotel was lovely as were the rooms. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and shower were nice. The rooms had wifi and air conditioning.
It also included breakfast and access to their pool which was great.
The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop and a 5 minute walk from the lake

We stayed here for a week in August, this was our first trip to Slovenia and enjoyed it immensely. The Hotel Jelovica provided a good base for our holiday, the buffet breakfast was substantial, staff were friendly, one big downside was the lack of air-conditioning but would stay here again if we returned to the area

The hotel is ideally located. 2 minutes to the Lake and over the road from the bus stop. The hotel is slightly dated and faded but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The rooms are small but for us it was adequate as we do not spend much time in our room except to sleep. The breakfast was poor quality, coffee was absolutely rank, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, value for money. You get what you pay for and this was definitely worth the price.

While the staff of this hotel was nice and the bed was clean, the hotel was not lakefront, the room was tiny, the a/c was non-existent, the bathroom was tiny, the soap was so tiny that it was useless (fortunately this was not our first rodeo so we had our own), the carpet was worn, overall really pretty bad. Again the staff was good but only a bull dozer would help the hotel.

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel.

We stayed here one night and found the hotel to be clean and the room adequate, but it is small and as someone else noted near a church which rings bells early in the AM. The hotel feels a bit dated (1980s) but met our needs. It was conveniently located two minutes from the bus depot. The staff are courteous and helpful when pressed but not as cheerful as on other places we visited in Slovenia.

We've just returned from 2 weeks at the Hotel Jalovica in Bled - what a nightmare. We weren't warned beforehand that the Bled festival was taking place during our first week so due to live music that went on all day and all night we didn't get any sleep. There was no air con in the hotel but you couldn't open the window at night because of the row. We requested a lake view but because of the thick trees you only catch a glimpse of water. But the worst thing was the church bells! The church is approx 50 yards from the hotel and the bells start chiming at 6am and ring every quarter of an hour with 145 rings at 7am so no hope of a quiet lie in. The staff we thought were very off hand and everything was just too much trouble for them - no one seemed to smile! The hotel is very dated and the food leaves a lot to be desired. The only thing done to the room was a change of towels but no replenishment of shampoo etc - one day she even forgot to leave towels! Bled itself is gorgeous but this hotel was just so depressing. The back packers who sit drinking around the lake all night are so noisy in the early hours too. All in all this hotel was a huge disappointment.

Room Tip: No good room with church bells 50 yds away that chime every 15 mins with 145 chimes at 7am!
