My wife and I stayed here for a week beginning 8th September, 2018 on holiday with a well known holiday company.
We were very pleased with the Lipa. The room we had was room 3 with a balcony situated at the front of the hotel. There hotel is situated on a road next to the bus station. The road is not a particular busy road and the bus station is a glorified bus stop with just three bays. We were not disturbed by any noise from the bus station and any traffic noise was minimal and ceased after midnight. The bus station didn't attract any nuisance undesirables and was clearly very convenient for local buses and coach trips; in fact we never hardly saw anybody there other than the odd tourists. Area was very quiet and the hotel was only a couple of hundred metres from the centre, far enough to be away from any centre noise but very convenient, The hotel room was comfortable, warm and quiet. The walls were all solid and very little noise was heard from other guests which is often a problem.A good nights sleep was assured. The only noise we heard was from below about 10-11pm as the room was above the restaurant and staff could be heard cleaning up and moving furniture at the end of a busy evening in the restaurant; again it wasn't a problem as most nights we were out and about after dining ourselves. The room we had, as were all of the rooms, very spacious with a very large bathroom with double glazing which shut out any outside noise. The bathroom was huge with a shower, bidet, shaver socket , hair dryer and all the luxuries expected of this standard of hotel. There was plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space, tea and coffee making facilites and a free mini-safe. A very large TV with lots of channels both in English and other languages. The free Wi-fi was excellent. The hotel is tastefully decorated, very clean and welcoming. The staff and owners were very pleasant and helpful throughout, We couldn't be any more happier with everyone and they made our stay with them very special. The staff were very informative when asked questions. The hotel has a lovely lounge and garden for use by the guests. The property is wheel chair friendly as access to most areas and rooms seems to be on a flat level. The hotel has a modern and spacious lift. We stayed on a half board basis. The food and choice was excellent (plenty of it as well) with something to suit everyone including any special dietry needs when informing the hotel. The drinks from the bar were 3 Euros for a large Loske Lager Beer and 6 Euros for a carafe of house Red/White. There was also a substantial wine list with a bottle of 750ml priced at around 20/22 Euros and more. The breakfast was very well presented with the usual lots of choice of juices, tea, coffee, cereals, fruit, etc, etc, etc. It was a self service cold buffet but a hot cooked breakfast is available when asked with a choice of a omelette (recommended), egg & bacon or just egg sandwich; any reasonable request is catored for and prepared quickly. Service was very good in the restaurant at all times. The room was cleaned daily with clean towels and bedding. All in all, a lovely place and exceeded our expectations. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend this hotel. I don't know exactly what the room rates are if you book independantly as we booked through a package holiday but it is well worth the stay.
As I say, we were very pleased with our stay there and it made our holiday.

Have a good stay.

Had dinner at this hotel restaurant and found the service friendly and efficient. I had the Beefsteak, roast potato with onion and think this was possibly the best during our stay in Slovenia. The others of our party had pizza and perhaps were not quite so happy. Very good location in Kranjska Gora. Would visit again.

We have just returned from another wonderful stay at this excellent family run hotel. We have been coming to the Hotel Lipa for over twenty years and it just gets better every time, especially with the recent refurbishment and continual updating. The bedrooms are very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated and there is a pleasant lounge and garden area for guests to use.

The family and their staff run the hotel in a friendly and professional manner and always ready to help with any queries from transport and places to go through to food and wines.
Stella, the hotel manager, is there every day and nothing ever seems too much trouble for her. She is a great source of local knowledge.

You can go on a half board or bed and breakfast basis. All the food is excellent. The half board menu has a wide choice catering for all tastes.

The restaurant also has an A la Carte menu which is truly excellent. We usually pay the supplement and eat from this menu a couple of times during our stays. This year we had the beef cooked in a salt crust which was delicious. We also had the fish option on the five course tasting menu with which they truly excelled. It was as good as if not better than tasting menus we have had at high end restaurants in the UK.

The house wines are good and inexpensive but in addition you can choose from the wine list which features many Slovenian wines on which the restaurant manager, Bojan, and Ranko, the waiter can expertly advise on food/wine pairings.

Yet again the Hotel Lipa has fulfilled all our expectations and we cannot recommend it enough. We will definitely be going back.

We throughly enjoyed a week in July at Hotel Lipa. It is in a great location to see the area and set off on hikes in the nearby mountains. The owners are absolutely lovely and helpful with hiking and touring ideas. We had a fabulous room with a view of the mountains and hope to return soon!
