Ljubljana did not disappoint - the Old Town is relatively small but the stroll along the river is fascinating and never seems to end. Hotel Adora is on the southern end of Old Town and it is probably the most reasonably priced among the group of hotels in this same general area which include Angel, Allegro, and Antiq. However, for drivers, places on the opposite side of Old Town like Central Hotel may be more convenient for parking - while technically outside Old Town, it may be even closer to Preseren Square.
Adora Hotel is physically modest and would not be confused for a luxury hotel, but two things stood out: 1) excellent breakfast and 2) Ana at the front desk, so helpful and dedicated.
You can book a parking spot in advance, but even the public lot (along the street) is a few hundred meters away.
Hotel value in Ljubjliana may not be the best in the Balkans but the food quality is superb.

Adora hotel is well located close to the town, with the amenities of a hotel and intimacy of a bed and breakfast. Rooms are well equipped with all you need. Only suggested improvement is shelf for soap etc in the shower. Reasonable breakfast. Good value hotel.

Hotel is centrally located just below the castle and just off the main street. All attractions are easily accessible by foot. Room was just all we needed - spacious and clean. It was a nice surprise to see small palm tree and Easter chocolate eggs placed for us. Breakfast was also enough - however I wish there was more options with healthy bread as they serve all white bread. There is a small grocery shop just 3 minutes away if you follow down the main street so you can back yourself up if you needed but bare in mind the is no fridge in the room. What I loved in Ljubljana there is a market in my opinion a must see which offers two amazing things. First a bio/organic market on Saturdays and a vending machine with fresh milk/goat yogurt/cheeses - after a purchase there was no problem for reception guy to store it for us in their kitchen fridge. What makes that place special is definitely staff - helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I would stay there again.

Couldn't have found a more perfect hotel for a short first visit to Slovenia. Friendly, but courteous and helpful staff, great location - a great circular walk from the hotel is up to the castle, down to the market, back along the river, stopping off for coffee at one of the many lovely pavement cafés. Hotel is very clean, small but cosy, and great value, even for a solo visit. Will come again.

Stayed last weekend. This is a charming little hotel with excellent, very friendly staff. Indeed, it's the staff which moved my rating from 'very good' to 'excellent'.
The rooms are very clean and adequately furnished. The shower was good which, is always a plus point for me. Breakfast was very good.
It's situated on the edge of the Old Town but, within easy walking distance of everything you need.
Like the hotel, Ljubljana itself is a very charming place. The people were very friendly & welcoming. All our meals were very good as were the local beers! The local red wine is also very drinkable and reasonably priced.
All-in-all both the Hotel Adora & Ljubljana are highly recommended.
