Description: Klobasarna is a place, positioned in the heart of Ljubljana’s Old Town Center, where you can treat yourself to an original Slovene Carniolian sausage. The Carniolian sausage is served with a fresh bagel, mustard and horseradish and you can get all this as take-away as well. The knowledge and skill of making the Carniolian (Kranjska) sausage originates from a centuries-old tradition of “slaugh."

“Great budget eats.”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

Being on a budget while traveling Europe meant searching out gems like Klobasarna. For just 6 euros you get a heaping portion of sausage, a fresh roll, and some awesome sauerkraut and fresh mustard to dip everything in. We went here several times on our visit to Ljubljana because it's the best deal in town (outside of the burek shops) and is so delicious. If you're looking for a sit down experience you're out of luck, because you'll most likely end up standing at the counter and chowing down that sausage in 5 minutes or less.

“Quick cheap good eats”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

This place is a must-try in this beautiful city of Ljubljana if you're into quick/cheap eats. The place is nothing fancy decoration-wise but it's quick, efficient and reasonably-priced. You could go for the big order or the small order depending on how hungry you are. Nice to sit outside in the pedestrian-only zone and people-watch while eating. The sausage is delicious (the flavor is quite balanced) and the bread was good. Try them with the condiments as well. I'm happy that we visited this place.

“Best Slovenian sausage”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

The place is a clean, well-located though small place with several indoor window stands. The sausage comes in four basic variations, including size of portions, and hence offers something tasty for kids and adults. The top-quality sausage comes with a roll and a serving of excellent mustard and horseradish, but I wish the sausage was truly steamy and not just warm. Overall, don't miss this place. English-speaking staff, too!

“Small but concrete. Ideal for a stop in this lovely city”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

After a visit to the Sunday market and a tour of this lovely city, all refurbishment, we sat at the tables in this small restaurant that offers tasty wusterl accompanied by a good local beer. You must be lucky as the tables are few, but worth the wait, especially if the weather is nice. The quiet of the pedestrian zone and the very low cost do the rest.

“A place fit for Bourdain's show”
Reviewed 18 October 2013

Here's how it used to be: you got to the Robba fountain and usually turned right to get to all the "good" places - because there was no decent place on the left side except the Sokol restaurant. Well, this has changed. Two good restaurants are now right next to each other - and "Klobasarna" ("The Susage Place") is one of them. Well, Klobasarna is not really a restaurant. It's more of a kebab kiosk - but better. Much, much better. It is nice, elegant, hip and trendy - and it serves really good "kranjska klobasa" - the Carniolan sausage - which, I think, is now a protected brand. Their menu is minimalistic: sausage. Oh, and cabbage stew with sausage. But I strongly suggest you take half a sausage (enough for even the burliest of men) with the side of excellent mustard and the even better, ever so mild horse raddish, and a piece of fresh kaiser-semmel (that's a bun). All for the ridiculously low charge of 3,50 €. Affordable, tasty and filling!
