We spent one night here and really debated changing our trip to stay another.

We had a fantastic stay, right from the open welcome. Our rooms in the apartment were great; big and airy with lovely views from the windows.

We had a great meal that was well worth the price: wild mushroom soup and homebaked bread, vegetable paltters and a range of pork meats, all with wine from the farm's vineyard.

You'll need a car to get here, but then you'll probably have one if visiting this area anyway.

We have just spent 3 nights at this wonderful spot. Grigor was a most congenial host. He couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay. The farm was nestled among rolling green hills covered with vines, our view from our window. It was very picturesque. Grigor's father took us through a wine tasting and told us the history of the winery. Meals were plentiful and tasty, accompanied by the excellent wines from their vineyard sitting on the terrace with spectacular scenery. Accommodation was spacious with 2 bedrooms and small kitchenette. A must for anyone near Maribor.

This is a great winery come guesthouse. We had cosy lodgings with a great view of the vineyards, home cooked food and even a complimentary wine tasting with the owners brother. For 80 Euros we had decent accommodation (bring your own towels) which was very spacious - (more of an apartment with an upstairs twin bedroom too) and a very traditional dinner accompanied by a variety of their own wines and a great breakfast. The owner is very accommodating and extremely friendly and proud of the heritage of his guesthouse. His brother is the same with the winery. We tried several Rieslings, which is what they are best known for all complimentary with a tour of the cellar.
Excellent value and much better than staying in the centre of Maribor, which doesn't have a great deal to see.

This tourist farm is a MUST. Just a couple of kilometers from Maribor and the surroundings are just amazing. The room is very comfortable, very quiet and clean. We had the five course dinner and it was beyond our expectations. We got there in the afternoon and we had a wonderful talk with the father who is also a vintnar. He told us about the harvests and he recommended a nice bottle of Riesling when we were relaxing in the shade. Gregor is also a wonderful host and an amazing cook. A visit to Slovenia would no be complete without a trip to this vineyard. We highly recommend it.

Very nice place in the vineyards of Maribor.
It takes ten minutes to Maribor centre, not so much. It's in a very nice place in the hills around Maribor: from our window we could see the country, the hills, and the vineyards!
The farm also produce a quite good wine, tha may be interesting for who travel also for gastronomics reasons (as we do) :-)
The room was big and clean...as you can find in a tirolean hotel :-)

This tourist farm is a real gem. The rooms are in a separate, new (5 years old) building, upstairs from the wine tasting/dining room. (No elevator, but only one flight of wide stairs.) The rooms are nicely decorated and equipped, impeccably clean and modern, and include television and airconditioning. Each unit has an upstairs loft. Ours had two single beds upstairs plus a full bathroom downstairs, a small kitchenette unit (refrigerator, sink, cooktop), and a separate bedroom with a large bed and table and chairs. Our host was warm and wonderful, full of answers to our requests for advice. He greeted us with some wine, and the dinner and wine tasting he and the family prepared the next night, for an extra, moderate, fee, was outstanding. The included breakfast was delicious and ample. At our request, we had a tour of the winery operation (across the narrow street, next to the family's house). The setting is bucolic, with vineyards, horses, and chickens in all directions. But we were close enough to Maribor to drive there both nights for its music festival, and well-located for visiting Ptuj and the rest of the wine country. Do be sure to ask for exact directions from Maribor, as the rental car GPS, Google maps, and our detailed Slovenia map all sent us down a closed road, requiring us to backtrack across the river. When we finally called Mr. Protner, he gave us good directions and met us on the main road. By the way, the Joannes wine is terrific; even if you don't make it to the farm, we highly recommend the wine, including the champagne. And even if you don't care for wine, this is a lovely place to stay near Maribor and Ptuj.
