“Nice hotel in Portoroz”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

Upon check-in we reveiced a very nice big room in a high floor with a great sea view. The room was spotlessly clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel has a connection with Therme & Wellness through a covered corridor that is very useful in a rainy weather. The food in a hotel restaurant was ok but nothing special. At dinner warm meals were mainly made or combined with frozen vegetables which makes a food a bit artificial and not so tasty. But the starters and salads were nice made. Breakfast is rich and tasty. Actually nothing to complain about. Good value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms in higher floors with a sea view are better.

We stayed 6 days in this hotel and I have only good things to tell about this . Hotel is clean , big rooms and even better bathrooms . Food was good , tastefull and the resturant staff very polite .
Due to some health problems we had to depart one day earlier and even fi previously we booked 7 nights , the girl from reception said that we will pay only 6 nights without any problems .Comparing with other hotels situated right in the center and close to the beach the price was OK .
Indoor pools were great especially that we didn't like the so called ''Portoroz beach"' which is actually a concrete manmade beach with blue-brown water ,full of seagrass and no waves . Definatelly you don't feel that you are at sea .
Overall an acceptable vacation and but if you love real sea , sand and wind in the summer Portoroz is not for you ..even if the hotel was good !

We spent a week in this hotel, and overall we were very satisfied. There is not much of luxury, but hotel is clean, mostly nice staff, great pools with heated sea-water and the worst thing is the beach. But it is not about the hotel, because the entire beach was full of sea grass and dirty water all over.
We had family room on the first floor, with sea-view and a great, big balcony. Parking is free, located across the street, and it was very crowded during our stay, but somehow we managed to find a place to park. If you find a place try not to move car if youdont have to, in the evening it is hard to get back in (at least in the high summer season).
Guests are allowed to use all pools located inside any of Lifespa hotels. Hotel is located above the main street - connected with plenty of stairs but everything is very close. Restaurant staff was very warm and nice, food was very tastefull and pleanty of it; they take care of details.
We recommend this hotel for families, child up to 12 was free. There are all kinds of guests, mature and young couples, also families with kids. It was very quiet in the hotel room despite the fact that restaurant was full during breakfast and dinner.
There was free wi-fi but not very reliable, and slow, but ok.
Portoroz location is good if you came by car, short drive around Istra or Trieste could be nice.
Staff at the reception area is helpfull and professional.

Lovely hotel in the center of Portoroz, one of the 5 hotels of the Lifeclass complex. We spent there weekend and even though the weather was horrible (rain, fog and wind) we were satisfied. Hotel is connected by passage to the wellness complex (free enter for hotel guests to swimming pools) so there was not problem how to spent time :-) We had just enough time without the rain to take a walk around the place to explore some interesting places.
Room was on 4th floor, sea side with balcony. I recommend higher floors because the view is fantastic. It was really big room, with very good bed. Bathroom was even better, big and with plenty of towels . You have bathrobes for use during your stay, but it is not for free.
We had breakfast and dinner and food was really good. Bar close to the Reception is nice and prices are reasonable. Staff nice and kind, there is no any bad thing we could remember.
Something what is also very important if you come by car, there is available parking, for free and it is across the street in front of the hotel. I will always recommend this hotel for all seasons, since there is also nice beach maybe max 50 m from hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have nice sea view.

The hotel is small but very cute with great staff. We had a family room that was huge, so that the kids had their own beds. At the front desk they were great. Our daughter got fever on the night we arrived and they had thermometer and pain killers ready and although we left one day before the schedule they only charged us for one night. The wellness and pool area are great and all the hotels are connected with it. Will come again for sure. The price was also great.

Lovely hotel in the centre Portoroz, one of the 5 hotels of the Lifeclass complex. We've spent 2 weeks there.
You can go to the beach, belonging to the complex Lifeclass. Guests of Apollo can also go to swimming pools of the complex's spa center for free.
Room was perfectly clean.
We took breakfast and dinner. Meals were always marvellous, food was various and delicious, twice or thrice a week there were evenings of different cuisines - oriental, slovenian, etc.
We've enjoyed the stay at the hotel and we'll probably stay there again - if not at Apollo, than at one of the hotels of the complex Lifeclass.
