“Great location and generous breakfasts.”
Reviewed 23 September 2009

We spent 4 very enjoyable days at this hotel. It is located directly across from the Adriatic. Quick and easy access to the water. The room was quiet and adequately equipped. Breakfast choices were plentiful and good. Staff was friendly and courteous. Parking was included in the price.

We stayed in the hotel in mid october, so that that we havent had the chance to experience the loud music from across the street (it seems that this is a summer speciality). The hotel offers a decent price/quality ratio and feautures a great Thai massage centre and a decent swimming pool complex. The staff was o.k., with the exception of a unfriendly waitress at the lobby bar.
All togeather it is a nice hotel with normal rates, for anybody that wants a bit more class, try the Palace near by.

The live music from across the road was so loud that we could not hear the television even though double-glazed windows were closed. We had requested a quite room. I like music but this was ridiculous. The restaurant had food and customer service you might expect in a 1950's school refectory. Even though we had paid for evening meals we dined elsewhere(very satisfactorily) for most of our stay.

Went to Portoroz on our Honeymoon and was pleased with our chosen destination. On arrival the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were given a complementary bottle of local wine (very nice) which was a nice touch.

Hotel room was clean and spacious. However, it was rather noisy at night and we couldn't sleep properly until after 1am due to a local coverband playing the same songs every night over the road at a beach bar.

We have mixed opinions on the food, I am a strict veggie and I was very limited to what I could eat (mainly salads), however, there was a wider selection of meats and fish. The food and the service is not 4 Star, sometimes our drinks were not served until towards the end of our main course.

On booking this hotel we were under the impression the facilities, such as, health & beauty services, internet etc were on site, however, they are split between 3 hotels from the same chain. This was a little disappointing.

Overall, a nice hotel (unfortunately not what we would call 4 Star) and a nice place to visit.

This hotel is a first class 4star Hotel.
The amenities are good. The food selection for breakfast is good, the evening buffet seemed to drop off somewhat towards the end of the week though. The pools are fist class as long as you don't open your mouth! as it is salt water but well run with lifeguard's on hand all the time.
As mentioned by previous writers the bedroom curtains do not cover the whole windows unless you squash the nets up tight as all are on the one rail and then it works ok.
The only downside to the hotel is the noisy bands and disco's across the main road . So if you are looking for a quiet evening on your balcony this won't be a hotel to stay in.
If we went to this area again we would go to PIRAN 45 minuits walk along the sea front from PORTAROZ as this seems to be prefered for more picturesque area.

I stayed on the top floor of this hotel and had a balcony overlooking the sea. The room was spacious the bed was huge, and the leisure facilities were great. There was a large indoor pool with wave machine and an outdoor pool. there is also a thai massage and therapy centre - which was reasonably priced and offered lots of different treatments. the pool had changing facilities and was very clean and well equipped. The food was buffet style but unusually for this kind of resort hotel was actually hot fresh and varied.
