Elizabeth Square is the park located in heart of Central City of Pest with two large areas of green spaces. The park is also the home of Budapest Eye (located in the old section of the square and the large green space with modern glass building and water pool separated by pedestrian street with lots of places to eat and drinks, and souvenir shops. The two significant historic things in the square are; the old bus station and the Danube fountain. The square is very popular spots to relax and to enjoy in the good weather day; both for locals and tourists.

We wanted to place a love lock for our 25th Anniversary in Budapest whilst there and found this beautiful park with a fence covered in love locks around the tree. This was right next to the Budapest Eye and fabulous fountain. Love lock left!

A vibrant, lively square with cafes, a grassy expanse, a large reflecting pool and site of the Budapest Eye Ferris wheel, Elizabeth Square was full of people enjoying a sunny day during our visit on a walking tour of the Pest side of the city. Our guide Anna said that there were performing arts venues, dining and entertainment sites above and below ground in the square. The pedestrian street Vaci Utica is adjacent to the square.

Every 1st if May, there is an exciting racing car parade in the Downtown. Tha main tribune is at Erzsebet Square. You have the chance to see Formula 1, Rally, Rallycross, WTC cars. Great hours for children!
Take care about the noise!

Walked through here during our one evening in Budapest. Lovely square filled with people enjoying themselves. Walked to the lower level where there was live music and a bar and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
