We booked through Expedia to stay in the Lions Garden for one night, when we arrived the man on reception said he didn't have our booking and that they were fully booked that night. The manager came along and sat us outside in the terrace garden with come complimentary coffee and beer. After around 15 minutes the manager came out to say a cab had arrived to take us to Radisson Blu where we would be put up for the night. We did not have to pay for the taxi or any additional for the better radison Blu hotel.
Arriving at a hotel to find they don't have your booking is quiet a daunting experience but here the staff were completely honest upfront and polite the whole time we were there, I can honestly say we could not have asked for anything more. Its just a shame we didn't get to stay there for the night, hopefully next time we visit Budapest!More
