Our first Michelin star restaurant experience was at Onyx. We ordered the lunch set which seemed value for money, until we received the bill only to realise we had to pay so much more for supplements. Nevertheless, the food and presentation was divine and the staff were so attentive and efficient. It is advisable to make a reservation online to secure a table.

We were looking forward to dining at this very elegant restaurant and we were not disappointed . As we had not been to Budapest before our server recommended the Hungarian Evolution Menu - it was amazing . The bread selection was varied and we tried a few - all delicious-and we knew then the meal was going to be good. And indeed all the courses were delicious , though I was a bit worried about the "fawn " imagining bambi !! We also took the wine pairing - so glad we did . All four of us enjoyed everything - which is quite a difficult feat having eaten a lot of meals together its the first time weve agreed that it was one of the best meals we ve ever had !

Very impressive the moment you walk in. The bread is so good and we love the deep green aromatic pumpkin seed oil which tasted so good with the bread. Enjoyed every singe course on the degustation menu. We were most impressed with the impeccable service. This is the best meal compared to the other Michellin restaurants we tried in Vienna and Prague.

I was able to get a table without a reservation, but don't count on it - this is a popular restaurant. It's close to the Le Meridien hotel, so if you're staying there it's a convenient choice. The food is best described as Hungarian fusion - very good and creative. This is an expensive restaurant, and the meal was leisurely, so bring money and time!

Because opera starts quit early in Budapest we were looking for a place to have a very good lunch. Onyx seemed to fit the bill; and it did.

At a nice location you enter a baroc- style restaurant. Modern but very classic; with very friendly personnel to help. We got to a very nice table next to a window (with a small 'love seat' on one end. wich gave us the possibility to have a good conversation with the groupe.

The food was excellent; very nice plates with tastefull specialty's. The price of lunch was moderate for a michelin- star rated place; but very high if you compare it wih (good) Budapest restaurants. Service was impeccable.
