“Very good compromise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 February 2014

Welcoming, bilingual, clean, comfortable... All in a great location and with breakfast for a very correct price.
Just one problem : At the check-out, we were charged for a consumption of a mini-bar product while we didn't eat or drink anything inside. The price was only 2€ and it was 3 o'clock in the morning, so we didn't try to discuss... It was not a comfortable situation.
But excepting that, we had a very nice staying at this hotel.

Close to metro station, in a great neighbor full of nice restaurants and cafe's. Rooms are small but clean and well decorated, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. It is my third stay in Soho and I will definitely choose it for my next visit as well. Totally recommended.

We stayed 2 nights and it was great overall. Hotel room was small but very nice. All we needed after sightseeing :)
Breakfast buffet is well stocked in tasty, lovely bar by the recepcion. Very friendly staff even helped us with some tips on the transportation.
BUT --- If you're planning your trip with a car, note, that this hotel only has a parking garage for 6 cars. Make prior arrangements with the hotel OR you can set your GPS to Akacfa u. and park in a Parking garage (just around the corner). It's important that you tell the cashier that you are staying in Soho Hotel for the discount. We didn't know that and we ended up paying over 50€ for 3 days.

We travelled to Budapest for the Christmas markets and chose this hotel. The neighbourhood might make think twice on arrival but stick with it. It is what I would describe as safe, quiet but edgy. Lots of young people, bars, clubs etc. It's a 5 minute walk to the synagogue which is beautiful. There are a lot of building works going on Budapest in general but not near the hotel. All the major sights are close by and the tourist hop on off bus is a good idea to get around everything if on a city break. We had a twin room, on the small side but funky design and all the amenities you'd expect. Bathroom has a rather unique frosted glass wall and as long as you don't mind seeing the outline of your friend when having a shower it's OK. But did think it was an odd feature in a twin room. It was pretty clean, a bit of water residue / limescale but I'm a complete clean freak otherwise it was very good. Staff were great incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was comprehensive and staff on hand. In all a really good stay - would come again!

December in Soho hotel Budapest is an excellent choice. Very kind and helpfull staff, location in an interseting part of Budapest. Room was clean and nice equiped. You can reach the city center in 10-15 minutes. In the same street you can find some good restaurants and interseting clubs where you can enjoy really good food and drink something at a really reasonable price.

We would like to visit Budapest again and our choice will be Soho hotel.

Room Tip: 606 for couples excellent choice, quiet....

We spent one weekend , 3 nights , staff was very kind and rooms are new and very nice , maybe a bit small , but overall excellent . Good breakfast with European buffet and good food quality . The hotel is located near the metro , but you can arrive to the center in 15 minutes by walking .
