We stayed 3 nights at this Hotel. The overview was fresh, clean and very friendly. The room was small, but not tiny, which kind of rooms we have had in Rome and Paris. Unfortunately the cleaner did not change the towels even once at that time. I suppose, that if the hotel has 4 stars the towels should be changed more often.
The breakfast was ok. There were many kinds of cold cuts, jogurts etc. Unfortunately the croisants and bakerys were not fresh and soft. But every morning we got our stomachs full.
Summa summarum : This hotel was worth of money and we can recommend it to all.

Boutique is not a word that should be used to describe this hotel. I booked it after one of my colleagues stayed here and said it was nice. The staff were very friendly so that was a good first impression. The room, well small is a word that could be used, thank god I was alone because I dont think another person could have fitted into the room. The bathroom was another small room, if you are in any way big, you might have difficulty getting in or out and the same goes for the shower. Also there was a bad smell in the hall way and in the bathroom, it smelled like sewrage. The location was good, it was a 3 min walk to the metro stop Blaha Luizja. I skipped breakfast as it was the same boring choice, muesli or fruit, and well it was -5 outside I wanted something warmer. On a budget its ok but if you can stretch the budget I would stay elsewhere.

Actually, we did not have any expectation before our stay in this hotel. After all, the room was clean. But extremely tiny and not in good condition (e.g. broken bathroom door). The breakfast was bad. we have to fight for our seat and not enough choices of food. The servers were not very helpful and efficient. Finally, the services from the Front Desk Agents were unacceptable. They were not so helpful and not having very good manner. If the reason was beacause of our nationality, we are really disappointed. This hotel is not recommendable and you can spend the same amount of money in a more worthy place.

We use the Soho as our pit stop hotel for any time we have to stay in Budapest for 2 or 3 nights. The hotel is very clean, the service is great and the internet works as advertised.

There are a few bars that always seemed to be packed with people but being on a side street the hotel is quiet. Gyros and kebabs are available across the street and fine dining around the corner.

It's true, the rooms are tiny. They have tried to load up the amenities without increasing the space so there isn't much space to walk around in. But it's functional. (example: a desk beside the bed and a chair, desk has a tv on it and a table lamp, barely any place to put a laptop computer, chair gets in the way of walking around...)

I've stayed there about 3 times and for a quick overnight it's a lot better than the airport hotel. Might not be the best place to spend a romantic getaway. Unless you get a bigger room.

Small rooms, but very nice. Good service. Good location - 5 minutes from a tam and metro station. Rooms are clean and nice decorated. Very good value for this price. Good breakfast.

Very friendly staff; excellent breakfast. Very close to the train station and that was convenient. Quick subway ride to the main atttractions. Has a very modern decor. The room was a bit small, but for the two of us, it was perfect.

The Soho Boutique Hotel is very very boutique indeed. So much so that I couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone more than 6' tall as everything is on such a very small scale.

The hotel itself is clean, modern and fairly well equipped. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable with a good grasp of English. The big let down was the size of the rooms. Having booked a double room for single use, I read the reviews on here and tried desperately to upgrade my room to that of a suite. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked, so a double room I received.

The bed was large and comfy with a two thin but adequate single duvets and two thin but adequate pillows. There was hardly any room to negotiate around the bed and even less in the bathroom. The TV was a large modern flat screen with about fifty different channels. Unfortunately the only English speaking channel was CNN with the rest being Hungarian. Hardly worth switching on! There was free Internet available on request but this sadly wasn't wireless. The mini bar was limited and the prices vastly over inflated.

The bathroom had a fairly good shower but no bath. The room itself was tiny and I could barely fit onto the toilet. Nevertheless, once on the loo, one can brush their teeth and shower at the same time! There were hardly any lotions and potions you would expect of a four star but it was clean.

Breakfast was very limited indeed. An average spread of the continental variety was available with a choice of hams, breads and cheeses. There was some egg concoction that I had never seen before and some boiled sausages. The coffee was from a machine and tasted odd but the juices were ok. The bar was also poorly stocked and very expensive.

Despite all my criticism, I would recommend this hotel for a cheap short stay. If you are after a no frills, clean friendly hotel then go for it. Just don't expect too much. I would only give this hotel three stars, certainly not four. This hotel doesn't compare well to other hotels in Budapest but it is well located.
