My company has a contract with this hotel, so I chose to stay there for business while in Budapest. That was the first and last time in spite that the hotel itself is very nice, the facilities, rooms are good, the sauna and pool area on the top floor with the huge terrace is beautiful.
BUT! Everything that is connected to the staff is well below expectations. I know that I wasn't the one who paid, it's the company, but still I would like to be treated as a guest (as a result on 12 other occasions this year I personally chose another contracted hotel, while I banned my employees from chosing this was and asked them to go to another hotel).

The recepcionist was behaving like it was the worst thing in the world that I have arrived and asked for a room (by the way... I think my company is one of the biggest customer of this hotel) and dinner was also very poor both in quality and service. Breakfast is the same.

It's a shame, because if the owners of the hotel would hire staff that can be warm, welcoming and provide a hospitable environment, it would be a great hotel as it's nice and clean with a not bad location (bit out of the center, but metro is just couple of tram stops away)

Friendly and reliable staff.

Nice view from the top floor pool, that was super beautiful.

The room was big with this place.

Breakfast was great too . And tea tasted very good.

The location is perfectly fine for touring the city. Street car stop is in front of the hotel.

Really good hotel in Buda rather than Pest but don't let that put anyone off. a 5 min walk takes you to the tram/metro station. The 4 or 6 supertram will get you to Pest in 5 mins. Octagon is a good stop if you want the centre or get off the other side of the Margaret Bridge and get a number 2 tram which follows the Danube south more or less on the bank.

Back to the hotel.
Room was spacious and v clean
Take bathing clothes if you with to use the pool/sauna on the top floor.
5 min walk to the Mammut centre if you like modern shopping malls

The reception is just a desk and quite informal, nothing wrong with that but the person on duty seemed a bit uninterested and not that helpful. The comments about the transport system we found out ourselves and weren't volunteered by the hotel when we asked for directions.

Breakfast was average but I would recommend the hotel

The Belvedere in Budapest was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in, nothing was too much trouble. Check in was quick and a very friendly service. The rooms were immaculately cleaned and done so daily with clean towels everyday. Food was lovely and breakfast was included which you could have to the room or go down to have it in the restaurant and conservatory. Faultless i really cannot think of anything bad to say about it ....would highly recommend to any age.

We were very lucky as we got upgraded to a junior suite and it made an enormous difference as our room had a seperate kitchen and living area as well as a balcony.
The hotel was very quiet and staff very discreet with excellent service throughout our stay.
The breakfast was not exceptional but offered a good selection of food and was well presented, we found the food in the hotel expensive and prefered to try local restuarants.
The hotel is situated on the Buda side a few minutes walk to a busy interchange for trams, buses and the metro. very near to the Mammut shopping centre.so we found it very central for our needs

Can't really fault this hotel at all. Room was great, decor was funky, Bathroom clean and overall a very relaxing stay.

Service wise:
Happily changed some large notes for us.
Provided information for free wireless, which was fast on the 4th floor where we stayed.
Held baggage in a locked room on final day.
Arranged a taxi for us to the Airport at a requested time.

Location wise:
Only a 5-10 minute walk from Moskva Ter, from which you can take the M1 metro over to Pest and the centre of town. Plus the useful 4\6 and 18 trams plus many more.
15 minute walk from Castle Hill and the start of the old town.
5 minute to a Match mini Supermarket.
Close to a few fast food joints in Moskva Ter, but not many Restaurants. Hence not getting a full 5 points.

Facilities Wise:
The Wellness floor offered superb views especially with the setting sun. The small pool is more a swim against a current machine. Not too warm but refreshing. Didnt use the sauna so cannot comment.
Breakfast was good, mostly cold options, but a good range, with hot eggs and sausages + bacon 1 day. Did not use the Restaurant,

I would recommend this hotel, especially to people who dont like want to stay in a stuck up place and want somewhere modern and relaxing to crash. Plus you get dressing gowns to lounge in. :D
