We stayed here based on tripadvisor rating and were not disappointed: this little hotel has great location, well equipped rooms, friendly staff and old Budapest charm. The Gerloczy restaurant, where they also serve the breakfast, is also worth the attention. We will definitely come back!
For those who is travelling by car -- hotel is situated in pedestrian zone and though it's 100 m from big parking, it can be challenging to find a route between two as most of streets in the block are one way. Reco to locate parking on map and drive there, then walk to the hotel, not vice versa

We spent a week at the Gerloczy hotel visiting Budapest and making some day-trips to the interland.
Our room was spotless, staff very helpfull and frendly, food on the terrace gastronomic.
One of those nice places I 'll write on my " to come back " list.

Lovely rooms - quiet, comfortable bed, shower but no bath. Not huge but not so small as to be uncomfortable. Well furnished.

Well-situated - it's easy to get just about anywhere from here. Thee best-connected metro station is 2 mins walk and you're right in the middle of Pest so can walk it easily.

Accomodating - staff were helpful printing out boarding passes, allowing us to borrow towels and booking taxis.

Cheeky pricing - Be aware. The room rate doesn't include the obligatory charge for breakfast of 12€ per person. If you eat less than 12€ you are not refunded the difference. If you eat over 12€ then you must pay the difference. They really shouldn't separate the cost of the room and the cost of breakfast as they are essentially one and the same. This is already quite an expensive place. Plus one would occasionally like to eat elsewhere without feeling penalised. Final gripe is that 12€ is an awful lot of breakfast. You would have to eat like a horse to make it to this amount per person.

Overall - a lovely hotel but we were a little sad about the breakfast thing. Felt it was a little out of character and so disappointing.

I recently stayed at the Gerkoczy Rooms and Cafe. I was origionally booked in for 4 days and had to extend my stay at short notice for a further 4 days.

The hotel staff are second to none in terms of their helpfulness and frendliness.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and unique in terms of decor.

The hotel, while located in the heart of downtown Pest, is very quite and peaceful.

Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of freshly cooked items and very good bread and coffee.

I will stay again
