The guest house was in a charming older home with antique furniture. It was very clean. It was relatively close to the city center, had easy access to public transit lines, and was close to a nice pub/restaurant (The nearby pub/restaurant Aranyhid was very good). The owner did not speak much English or German but was friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. On the downside, the sheets were a bit threadbare. In one of our two rooms, the plumbing in the shower was separating from the wall. It was difficult to control the heat at a comfortable temperature. As a modest, inexpensive guesthouse, it was more than adequate for our needs.

Big room with a big bed and a private bathroom, in a nice area not too far from the river. Bed was comfortable, proprietor was lovely, it was a great place for us to stop for the night. We slept well, and the manager didn't mind us checking out early.

It is much better than it looks on picture. House is in quite area not far from center by bus or metro.
If you want to have cheap stay in Budapest in period of couple of days in pretty modest but charming environment this is the right place for you. There is free and secure parking space if you come by car. Rooms are spacious and clean and the Wi fi signal is good.

Situated out of town in a quiet area but easy to reach by bus (or 30 minutes on foot), the place is an oasis of peace. No thrills furniture and clean, along with a massive bathroom, this is a dream for budget travelers. Staff is nice and helpful. I stayed a week there and hope to visit the city again. At around 18€ per night (add a 1.30€ government tax/night), the place is a steal.

Had a really good time in this hotel. Great value for money. Don't let the terrible quality images put you off.. The whole place has a really nice feel to it. Location is brill, 10 minute walk to Citadela and a 30 minute walk to Elizabeth Bridge.

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs are the best!
