A quiet location just outside the walls of the castle district and within easy walking distance of the centre.

The hotel is modern with clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant offered good food and excellent service.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Hotel Castle Garden. The staff were friendly and accomodating (and allowed us to extend our stay without trouble - due to my booking mistake!). The hotel is beautifully refurbished with a modern decor. The location is very convenient - within easy walking distance of the metro and trolley as well as the Castle area with shops, restaurants and a museums. If you choose to stay on the Buda side, this is an excellent choice!

The best thing about this hotel is the position - very close to a metro stop (Moszkva Ter) and bus stop, and within easy walking distance to the beautiful Castle Hill area. There is a nice little bakery that is good for breakfast if your rate doesn't include it - just walk down the hill toward the mammoth shopping centre, and it's down the street that runs alongside it.

The rooms are very clean with air conditioning, small fridge, tv, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are nice, and shower gel and conditioning shampoo are provided. Free wired internet was available in rooms - we tried to get wifi but reception gave us a device that wouldn't work, and they weren't able to help us with it. My husband works with computers and he couldn't get it to work so not sure what the issue was there.

The people at reception were very friendly and spoke English, however we did have a poor experience in the hotel restaurant. We were given a 20% off voucher to use in the restaurant but after sitting down and ordering drinks, we saw in small print in the back of the menu that using a credit card would incur a 10% charge, which put the prices back up. When we politely informed our waiter that we would just pay for our drinks and eat elsewhere, he was quite rude.

The hotel deserves the positive reviews it receives on tripadvisor but be aware that they do offer incentives (discounts on future stays) if people review them favourably.

Very modern fresh clean and tidy hotel in great location within a short easy walk to Buda Var ( Castle). The hotel is smaller so feels quite homely and friendly. The rooms are a nice size with lots of built in wardrobes and a large well appointed bathroom.
Good air conditioning to keep the room cool on the very hot summer days. The room had a large opening window, although the aircon is set to turn off if the window is opened.
The bed was very comfortable with nice clean sheets and pillows. The room has a nice level of decoration including a comfortable chair and small desk with chair as well.
Good metred parking across the road and the metres are free from Friday night until Monday morning which was a nice bonus.
The hotel had free internet in room which was a nice touch.
The only thing I didn't like was the unfavourable exchange rate the hotel uses for billing to convert from euros to forint. The hotel bills in euros but has a bad exchange rate if you want to pay by forint rather than euro.

This is a great hotel next to the Castle Hill. At first, I thought this hotel was going to be out of the way because of the drive from the bus station but it's very centrally located to the Moscow train station and the Number 16 bus that heads straight to the Pest side of Budapest. This place is quiet with modern ammenaties and a hearty breakfast buffett.

This was our first trip to Budapest and this wonderful hotel helped us enjoy the city so much. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and the breakfasts were a real treat. Unbeatable location - busy Pest is just minutes away by bus ,tram and underground and within a 5 minute walk there is a modern Mall and a daily produce market. The bus up and down the castle hill runs every five minutes or so. It is wonderful having the castle precint to yourself for a pre breakfast walk or after the crowds have let to see the sun set. We missed catching a concert up in the grounds but it would have been a great setting. Dont miss the very reasonably priced Michelin restaurant , 21,a couple of minutes up the hill in the castle area and the beautiful free sculpture garden and art Gallery. Gellert Baths are an easy trip away as are most sights.

I came to Budapest with a friend last month. We shared a twin room at the hotel castle garden. Arriving at night, it was initially tricky to find, but once you know where it is, it is easy enough to find. It is a short 7 minute walk from the Moszkva Ter metro station. The area is a nice quiet leafy one, yet very close to the old city, just outside the city walls and next to the Vienna gate. About 5-10 min walk to Fisherman's bastion. There is a big shopping mall nearby. The price of the room was very reasonable. There was a fridge with minibar. The room size was excellent for those of us used to small european city hotels. Reception staff were very helpful with all my queries and were very patient, spoke good English.
All in all, would recommend this hotel.
