“Perfect hotel”
Reviewed 28 June 2012

All the reviews are right on the money. This is one amazing hotel.

We stayed there for two nights earlier this month. The location is perfect, the room was great, and the staff could not be more helpful. The bar area is available every day until 5 pm for free bottled water and coffee/cappuccino from a machine, along with some light snacks. The included breakfast is nice with plenty to choose from.

This hotel deserves the accolades it has received here.

This hotel is really beautiful; you have the old world charm of the building but then a lovely, modern interior. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They let us check in early, they provided free water, coffee, nuts and comfy chairs in the lobby, and they were happy to book taxis. The breakfast was really great. We looked forward to it every morning. Highly recommend staying here whilst in Budapest.

We stayed in the Hotel Palazzo Zichy for 3 nights following over 30 days on ocean and river cruises. How wonderful to be on land again, and be able to walk out of our lovely hotel and be right on a pedestrian street lined with cafes/bars. The weekend we arrived the street was part of a beer festival - so much fun. There was even a small park right across the street. The location was off the main streets, but Budapest is so easy to walk around that we even walked to and from the Opera twice during our stay.

The hotel personnel were extraordinarily considerate. They let us check in early, and upgraded our room. They arranged for our airport transfer and had a boxed breakfast ready for us when we left at 3:30 AM. The complimentary breakfast was very nice, as was the coffee and water available all day.

We would definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Room on 1st floor street side was very quiet with nice sun.

I went to this hotel with ten friends, and we spent 3 days in Budapest for the first time. Not only the city is beautiful and citizens friendly, but also the hotel was perfect ! All employees from the front desk to the housekeeper are pleasants, at all the ready to help and to provide advices, the hotel is well located, clean, the inside is really original and class. A high level hotel.
I used to travel around the word for business, and this is really one of the best in terms of price, quality, service, ... Definitely better than all of these chained of hotels.
I strongly recommend it and I am willing to go there again with my family.

We rode into Budapest at the end of the Danube Cycleway and found the Palazzo Zichy. It was an oasis of calm in a busy city. The breakfast buffet is excellent; our room was quiet; the staff friendly and helpful. A great choice for a visit to Budapest.

i was really impressed by the design of this hotel. the reception. the lobby, the rooms..then i must say that the employees are really polite and helpful. the rooms are little small, but not the bathroom. usually it is the other way around.it is a very clean hotel and the location is not very far from the center.
breakfast offers a great choice of products and i have to note that coffee, tea and water are free till 5.00pm on the lobby area.
a great choice in a great price.

We stayed here for four nights over the Easter holiday, the choice for our stay was either The Boscolo or here, we couldn't agree, no surprise!! As I had selected the destination, Mrs MM choose the hotel. The hotel is a steady walk, from the centre of the city.

On reflection, a good choice, the hotel in a converted Count's Palace, the interior is tastefully modern.

The service and the greeting at reception were first class, staff were cheerful and unassuming, this contrasted slighty with the bar staff, who lacked some oomph and zeal. There were free refreshments available in the lounge until late afternoon.

The room was large, we were located on the fifth floor with a view of the small square in which the hotel is located. The furnishings were modern and sleek. There was only a shower in the bathroom, it was a drench shower which resulted in us drying the floor everytime we used it!! The bed was exceptionally firm, in fact, it was too hard, it took a 20 minute walk each morning to get the stiffness out of my back, the old back is a problem. The relative comfort of the bed is of massive importance, it is difficult for any hotel to meet the sleeping whim of every traveller. A choice of pillows is one thing, varying styles of mattress is something else, given a choice a firmer mattress is a better option.

Breakfast was an abundant and busy affair. There was a vast selection of hot and cold dishes, every morning the room was full, there was an overspill located near the main breakfast room.
