“Excellent for the price.”

Location is very central and every amenity is within a 2 minute walk. The hotel staff was very helpful. The only fault is the elevator is real small since the building is old. Budapest has very much to offer and this location is ideal from where to start.

I paid less than 30 euros/night for a single room with private bathroom. The location is great either you come from the airport or from one of the two main stations. The inner patio is very charming. The staff is very helpful.
The breakfast is alright but the room very small, meaning that you are obliged to set a time for you breakfast – I advise you to have it outside.

I stayed for 5 nights. Noisy room so hard to get over to sleep. Damp smell in bathroom. Shower was a waterfall cubicle that was plumbed with one cheap showerhead. Kettle in room stank of stale water. Element in kettle was furry and water that was still in it was yellow. One wonky shelf, no desk. On the last day we were told to be back at 1pm for our transfer, we arrived back 9 mins early. The receptionist was in a tizzy and practically shouting at us as there was an accident on the road and she was (supposedly) trying to phone us both and we 'wouldn't answer her'. Neither of us had any missed calls on our phones. Car used for transfer had door panel 'nailed' on and drove like a meniac. They made us pay our bill the day before we left ... I can only deduce that they thought we were going to do a runner, I've never been asked that before at any hotel.
GOOD POINTS .... Got a bottle of OK wine on arrival and it's in a great location.

We stayed at the beginning of May 2014, was at the time of booking one of the cheapest places we could find in Budapest. The hotel was nothing special, its in a run down building, the rooms, corridors, etc are relatively old and narrow, but it was adequately clean and the staff was very nice. Location is also good, directly on top of the metro station, and around 10-15 minutes by foot from the centre, although it's a bit noisy as its next to a busy street. You get what you pay for, the hotel is not luxurious by any means, but its excellent as a cheap and clean place to spend the night, which is really all you need when travelling.

Excellent location, but rather heavy noise from the street. The room was spacious, but the bed all too soft and any movement of the partner could be noticed. Breakfast a bit too simple, we decided to cook the coffee in our room the rest of the stay.

At arriving service was slow, nobody waiting for us, it took a long time for the receptionist to calculate the amount we have to pay (even after we showed the bill given on-line by the agency).

- Toilet is very very old, so be careful not to use it too much, also is very noisy and there is a cause with staff on in like shampoo and other stuff that you have to pay if you use it.

In the checking out they wanted us to bring our luggage to reception(which is a very small office) and the reason is that they want to be sure we didn't stole anything from the room like drinks from the minibar(which is a small fridge with stuff in it that you have to pay).
- Entering the corridor that leads to the room I've been shocked reading a sign that says:

"DEAR GUESTS! PLEASE, KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN IN THE HALLWAYS AND COMMON AREAS!!!, The fine for disturbing the peace is a minimun of 10.000,- HUF (35 EUR) After the first time, we may terminate your accommodation contract with no money back!!!. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! EUROPA CENTERPOINT GUESTHOUSE."

- This means that after a night out from the bars or if you bring a friend and laugh they put you out immediately so you will be drunk and up in the street without any shelter where there is danger specially for tourist.

- So my private advice, if you want a really quite (over sound-controlled) holiday where you have to whisper to each other in the hallways and in your room (as walls are not sound proof) then this hotel is suitable for you but if you want to have fun think twice as yo may end up in the street.

- Only good thing about it is the building is very old , typical easter european as shown in the pictures, location is good, near to discos , pubs , nightclubs, etc.

- Definitely next time I will book somewhere else where I feel free to enjoy as a tourist without so many rules.
