Turned out to be great choice for staying. Reasonable prices, clean room and good location. The staff was very nice and always willing to help, even with bothering requests. I would definitely recommend this one to anybody looking for good place to stay while in Budapest.

We have just returned from staying here and we had a great stay. Very nice room and common area. Perfect location. Being the centre of town, it was quite noise (especially given single glazing windows) but otherwise can't fault it. Thanks very much! Also very friendly staff which is always important.

Room Tip: Room 8 was lovely, with a nice window bench area for having a cup of tea and a chat/read/think. But quite noisy - woken every night (both used to living in cities) - maybe bad luck since one night they were erecting a new statue right outside!

Amazing historic building close to Elisabeth Bridge, Central Cafe, Szimpla ruin bar, Vaci Street etc. Outside the building is a bit of a transport hub with metro and buses on your doorstep. Walking distance to Chain Bridge and castle district.

Staff are helpful, there's free wifi, free tea and coffee and a modern guest kitchen and lounge with free computers.

Our room was in a different part of the building, accessed by electronic fob, kitchenette area shared with a couple of other rooms, overall pretty clean and well equipped. The room was a quirky mix of antiques and Ikea with a modern bathroom/ensuite.

Only downsides were that there were no curtains on the window but this seems to be the norm in Budapest based on the two placed we stayed, and that the mattress was pretty thin.

This hostel is amazing for what you pay, compared with so many other hostels this one is clean and tidy it has a homely personal feel and endless surprises. Like heated flooring in some of the bathrooms. The Location is very convent opposite the shopping district and about 3 min walk from the river on the Pest side. The hostel has good wifi coverage, TV's with DVD endless books to read. two kitchens and two communal lounges. The staff are helpful and have deals with other independent businesses in the community they are able to help you book attractions but it is easy to do it yourself. The only thing to note is they do recommend friends and other business that have provided good service in the past to their patrons. They are also part go the City Spy Map organisation who have amazing places advertised within Budapest so that was my 1st port of call for ideas.

Room Tip: While the 10 share dorm may seam crowded be assured it is very spacious and airy. Didn't feel crowded at all.
