This is our second time staying in Sarah Belle apartments during January. The apartment was clean, cozy and well appointed and the owner provided a very nice selection of welcome snacks, wine and coffee for our stay. The bed is very comfortable, and sheets, comforters and towels are all high quality and luxurious, and the kitchen has everything that you need to cook meals. The apartment is centrally located on the Pest side of the river, within easy walking distance of metros, trams and buses, and is one block off of Vaci Utca, the main shopping street. The next time I am in Budapest, I will definitely stay in one of John Farago's very nice apartments!

The apartment layout allowed us to expand our reservation to accommodate our daughter and son-in-law. Perfect combination of privacy and togetherness. We had reserved Liesel and added Belle. Location allowed us to easily explore Budapest. Everything you could need is provided, from wine to contact lens solution to umbrellas and spa bags. John provides an extraordinary amount of valuable information, not just where to eat but how to arrive, best ways to handle your money needs, in detail directions, and on. There is not a question unanswered in his wonderful compilations. We were able to have tour tickets waiting for us when we arrived. We found wonderful places to eat nearby. All in all a wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed in the LieselPierre Apartment for 2 weeks in August 2016. Over the last 20 years, we have stayed in many apartments in Europe and the LieselPierre compares favorably with the best apartments we have rented. We give this apartment our highest recommendation.

First, our initial contact with the owner was first rate . . . his response time to our questions was in minutes, rather than days. He has a wealth of knowledge to share about Budapest and was a great resource for the first time to Hungary traveler. In other words, booking was basically a seamless and uneventful affair.

Second, the driver who picked us up at the airport (arranged by the owner) was waiting on us when we arrived and transported us to the apartment without any issues. At the apartment, the manager greeted us with a bottle of Hungarian wine and snacks-what a relief after an international flight.

Third, the Apartment itself was (from an American point of view) a typical sized European apartment for 2, but 3 or 4 could squeeze in with the sofa sleeper. The apartment was well equipped - we used the clothes washer, nespresso machine, and air conditioner almost daily. The ac worked great and was necessary after walking all day around Budapest in August.

Fourth, the location was perfect. Virtually, everything in Budapest is accessible by foot. Food, tourist spots, bridges, buildings, markets, shopping, etc. are all within walking distance from the apartment.

Fifth, the cost was reasonable.

Finally, if you are from the U.S., don't expect a U.S. style apartment, but if you understand European-sized apartments, the LieselPierre Apartment will exceeded your expectations; it exceeded ours.

Connecting apartments, Sarah and Belle, were the perfect setup for a family trip which included two grown daughters, my husband and me. Our daughters had their own bedroom, kitchen and living area, but could easily slip back and forth to visit. Yes, the layout was good, but is only one reason we recommend this rental. What elevates Sarah/Belle and other apartments affiliated with the same owner above the others? 1) The location within walking distance of most sites in both Pest and Buda, 2) The amenities in the home (You will indeed feel like you're visiting a friend's home, not staying in a rental apartment.) By the way, these amenities include wonderful Hungarian wine, cheese, milk and pastries, to enjoy till you can get to the grocery, 3) Extensive documentation on how to use appliances, 4) Suggestions and correspondence on having a seamless and memorable visit to Budapest and 5) An impressive and involved management team- both owner and support staff. As the description states, Sarah/Belle aren't as luxurious or large as other possible rentals, but were perfect for our needs and desire to live like a local. (And I'm saying that having stayed at The Four Seasons on our first trip to Budapest!) I can't say enough good things about the owner's follow-through to make sure we had a smooth, satisfactory experience renting with him. We go to Budapest every couple of years to visit family and I guarantee we'll be renting one of these apartments again.

Although I have been to Budapest many times and have family there, I chose to rent apartments for the whole family travelling with me, this trip. We rented Belle, Sarah and Liesel which was perfect for the three families travelling. The apartments were beautiful, well appointed and thoughtfully stocked to have a seamless arrival and comfortable stay. All possible needs were addressed. I cannot say enough positive things about the owners. They were informative, helpful and had more information about the area, and how to navigate a foreign city, than most travel guides. The attention to detail and the far above average supplies in the apartments surpassed even my high standards! I would rate this above 8 if possible!

We loved staying at Sarah. Not only was it pristine, the bed was absolutely magnificent to crash on after a long day of touring the beautiful city of Budapest. The apartment is centrally located and has an abundance of eating and shopping choices a short stroll away. Breakfast on the patio was delightful even in the month of March .
