“Great café house.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014

We went to Auguszt Cukraszda on 21st Feb after visiting the Parliament building. They have 3 establishments in Budapest, and we decided to call in at the Feny utca one in the 2nd district. It is located behind the Mammut (Mammoth) shopping centre and the No4 and No6 trams stops in the front of the shopping centre. Walk around to the back and the Café is on the left-hand side.
The building inside is oldie worldly, very relaxing and gentle place. The cakes were absolutely delicious, light and very tasty. The coffee and coco we had been served in the traditional way, with water on the side.
Both my husband and I love visiting different café houses when we are in Budapest, and Aguszt is definitely is in our top 5.

Followed the tip by the 'hairy bikers' and called in this cafe/cake shop. Delightful old world charm. Cakes to die for and great coffee. Even brought cakes back to u.k for my children. Scrummy.

“Relaxing cafe, great for lunch or just coffee and cake”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

Went for coffee and cakes on our first day in Budapest and we were very impressed with the savoury pastries and the cakes. Atmosphere and service is more like a quiet tearooms than a formal restaurant.

We went back for lunch on the last day of our trip and each had a dish from the weekday lunch menu. The portions weren't huge but it was very good food and meant we had room for another cake!
