“Almost heaven .....”
Reviewed 15 February 2012

As very frequent travellers we spent many nights in hotels all over the world, however the minute we walked into this hotel it embraced us and we felt at home.
Cannot remember a hotel staff equal kind, patient, friendly and helpfull as what we met here.
Room was a tranquil, very well equiped and embracing space, bathroom adequate (though I would have preferred a walk-in shower), even the view of the inner court with windows all over gave a feeling of snug security.
No complaints about the breakfast facilities: all 5 days of our stay we chose different things, never a feeling of having to eat the same things day after day: we loved the rich choice of fresh vegetables and the Spanish touch of tortilla and freshly made tomatoe sauce.
The almost sober lobby, without unnecessary items and the design chairs and lamps, was a big surprise, due to height and use of very basic materials: a perfect match.
Location is more than perfect, we walked in all directions and the use of the Metro is so easy.
To make a long story short: this hotel was a homecoming, almost heaven .... and we will definately return!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the inner court are extremely quiet

Budapest was the last stop on a rather short trip, and this hotel seemed too good to be true for the price. We paid about 45 euros per night, including WiFi, but not including breakfast.
It was a steal. We arrived by train, and the hotel is two stops away by metro (stop Astoria). It is within walking distance of the center of Pest, a half hour walk to Parliament.
The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, and very clean as well.
The staff speaks good English and are very helpful. On our last day, I asked the front desk whether they had stamps for a postcard and while they didn't, they offered to mail it for me anyway.
The cafe on the ground floor serves tapas and other dishes for reasonable prices. The portions are quite ok. The service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter to us. The breakfast room is also spacious and the buffet is quite diverse, with a Spanish touch, as it is a Spanish chain of hotels. I am allergic to gluten and lactose and there was enough for me to eat, the price was also quite good considering (9 euros).
They have a large sauna and a small gym on the 8th floor, both immaculate as well.
The front desk helped us book a hop-on-hop-off tour and called for our taxi to the airport (around 20 euros, and even though it is only 20 km away, it does take around half an hour to get there).
When I go back to Budapest, I will definitely stay there again.

This is a classic comfortable European hotel & at a very reasonable price.

We paid about $90AUD per night, including breakfast & free wifi. The rooms are very spacious & comfortable & the staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English.

The location was good, with a short walk to trams and the metro. We were there at the beginning of winter and we found it agreeable to walk short distances.

A safe bet, you won't be let down.

A local friend recommended this hotel to me, and it was a great piece of advice. The hotel is quite new and located in the centre of Budapest, within walking distance of the main tourist spots. The only problem being that the street is always very busy and it's difficult to park outside, even if just for getting off a taxi.

With Eurostars being a chain from Spain, everything is written in Hungarian, English and Spanish, so it's no wonder that it's very popular with people from Spain and Latin America. But everyone can feel at home. The room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, breakfast was quite good and I especially enjoyed the sauna, which I think is meant to close at 11 PM, but I was there at midnight.

And to top it all off, I found that the price was very competitive, but of course, this was in early December, when tourists go somewhere else. I guess that in the summer it must be more expensive, but well worth a try anyway.

First of all, the hotel deserves the 4 stars and provides an excellent price for what you pay. The location is also central and nearby to many interesting places. Moreover, the best thing I guess for this hotel is the friendly staff, who are always there for your assistance. The rooms are very clean and newly furnished. There is no negative thing for this hotel from my side but don't expect a view from the windows. There is also a sauna which is fairly good. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing to stay in Budapest.

Room Tip: I changed to a street view room, which in the end I like to see something when looking out of the wi...

This hotel is located along a main street within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the popular shopping pedestrian zone and the river. The breakfast in the morning was a delightful buffet with quite a few choices for any taste. The rooms were simple and practical, with a bathroom I wish I had at home.
