Just back home from a four nights stay in Budapest. We are happy that we chose this hotel as we really can't find any negatives to tell you about. The room - facing the interior - was very, very quiet - in fact we heard no sounds at all from the outside. Maybe the rooms facing the main road are different in this respect. All was very clean. Air conditioning functioned very well and was a must as we were treated to very warm weather during our stay, with 30+ degrees. The hotel is ideally placed within a 5 minutes walk to the Vaci Utca - the main pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. Add another 2 minutes walk and you are on the banks of the Donau/Danube and the Elizabeth bridge. Breakfast room was quit big and food to our liking. Scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and cereals are my energizers before a long touristic day...And finally the staff - all very nice and helpful. Would definitely come again on another trip to Budapest!

Been to lovely Budapest for 4 days, we would certainly choose it again..... Very comfortable and nice furnished room, modern style, stuff vey kind and helpfull. We had booked a room with view to central road. Instead we were given a room with interior view but there was no problem when we asked to change rooms. (The rooms with view to central road are much lighter and the reception thinks that they are more noisy. We got a very well nigt sleep all the nights there...) Ask for them..... Tidy rooms, good cleaning of them. Breakfast was more than tasty with a great variety of fruits, cereals, scrubble eggs, sausages, bacon , different beverages. You get off the table filled up ready for a great day to Budapest. We higly recommend the hotel to all tourists there. And of course nice price for all that.... Walking distance to all monuments of the city and metro station (if you want to visit the thermal baths.....)

I have just returned from a week in beautiful budapest and the Eurostar hotel made my stay even better. It is located a 5 minute walk from Astoria station and Vaci utca which houses many retail stores and lovely restaurants. Our room was big and the bed so comfortable, i slept like a baby every night! Only minor issue was the shower which was slightly awkward to turn on but apart from that it was perfect.
All in all it is a supereb hotel with friendly staff, excellent value for money and would stay here again!

Room Tip: rooms facing the courtyard are quieter as hotel is located on a busy main road.

We stayed 4 nights at the Eurostar. The hotel is brand new and ultra modern. Rooms are a off a decent size. Everythin is new, modern and extra clean. The best thing of the hotel its his location - 5 minutes walking to the first bridge leading to the other side (Buda) and less than 15 to get to the nicest bridge, the Chain Bridge. Metro (Astoria station) is less than 2 minutes walking from the hotel. The staff were simply amazing! MY "coup de coeur" in Budapest!

Room Tip: Our room was on the inside courtyard side which was quieter. Hotel street can be busy in the mornin...

I am a frequent business traveller but have booked this hotel for a week's private trip to Budapest. All in all, this is the best value for money hotel I may have ever been to. For 60-80 euros a night, there is a world's difference between the Eurostars in Budapest and the 190/night Paris cupboard I stayed in right thereafter.

Location: dead centre of the city, excellent access to Vaci utca pedestrian zone (1 min) and Astoria metro station (30 sec). Most of the sights are therefore in walking distance. Even though the location on Kossuth Lajos u. (4 lane road) suggests noise from traffic, we heard none of this as our room was to the back court.

Staff: very friendly and even let us choose the floor, which we wanted to stay on, and printed out free internet codes on their own initiative. Booked our spa day for us and arranged taxi transfer.

Rooms: super modern, good sized. My suggestion is to try one of the 5 different special pillows on offer, both "James Dean" and "Marilyn Monroe" are great to have around at night. Plenty of Spanish TV channels, although international channels are mainly news channels. On a side note though, bring your own toilet brush if you do not want for the cleaner....

Other specs: Gym is small but modern. 4 best-in-class treadmills/bikes and free weights. Sauna looks nice but I have not used it. Breakfast buffet is Spanish as this is a Spanish hotel (in fact, half of the Spanish staff do not speak Hungarian), but again great value for money.

All in all, the Eurostar would compare well to any modern inner city European five star hotel.
