“great location”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

Great location, right in the city center, within the walking distance from the walking grant street in buda. Our flight was cancelled due to the Malev airlines strike so we were given this hotel by the airport provider. Really enjoyed our stay. Good food too.

Room Tip: the good double glazed windows so we did not hear any noise

Stayed for 6 nights, simple check in. Room was great surprise. Another review mentions halls been tired is true but rooms and reception are modern, nice decor, crisp and clean. Bed was massive and room well equiped but after a great day out and back late discovered no TEA/ COFFEE MAKING FACILITY... was really annoying!! Rang reception thinking there had been a mistake! Nice recepionist said hotel doesn't provide that service. Was really annoyed at the time!! She did offer to have a kettle left in our room next day [which they did but a large standard kettle and no cups or spoons!! Popped out to local shop for Tea and coffee and used glasses! Got cups from dining room next day!! Seemed really petty and a shame as apart from that we loved the hotel and would recomend it [ would also recomend to manager when he reads this to review Tea/coffee making facility in his hotel as I have never come accross this before and if you are going to charge £60 a night add £5 to price to cover costs... perhaps its me but I like the choice and I know there is a mini bar but I don't drink and not keen on soft drinks!

Hotel central and if you have not been yet get to Budapest for a great break! We both loved it!!

This was worth the money - convenient location, clean and had the amenities we wanted. Breakfast however was not good. Bread etc. didn't taste as fresh, no fresh juices - it was basically 2 star breakfast. Shame because stay overall was great!

This hotel has spacious rooms and a really big bed. Its comfortable and clean. Its reasonable and really very nice. The location is also very good. Now the negatives room service and bar are only open from 7PM to 11pm. This meant when we slept past breakfast our first morning due to being delayed by a diversion caused by fog (only got to bed at 6AM) we could not get anything to eat.

ON checking in we were given 2 welcome drink vouchers. On our last night we tried to use them in the hotels empty bar.
This seems like something from Monty Python but is what occurred
ME- Hello can we have 2 vodka and diet cokes
BARMAN- No you must be invited
ME- what do you mean?
BARMAN- We must invite you
ME - well you had better invite us soon we leave tomorrow
WIFE- Is there a problem?
BARMAN- NO NO I invite you.
ME- Invite us to what?
BARMAN- I invite you to have two of our non alchoholic fruit juice cocktails.
ME&WIFE- grab our coats and start to leave
BARMAN - Well maybe 2 small bears
ME&WIFE- opening door and leaving
BARMAN- You not want anything?

This is probably why the bar is always empty

The room was huge and so were the bed and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and I could sleep for 12 hours on it. The bathroom was felt very luxurious for a 4 star hotel and the bathtub was better than those I have seen in other 5 star hotels. It was huge, much like everything else in the room. Would stay here again!!! No complaints at all. Wish I had stayed longer.

Central location and a nearby metrostation for easy transportation. Me and my wife like to walk around we could easily walk to the main areas. Good service at the hotel and good price.
Would stay here again.

we stayed in this hotel over a long weekend in November 2013 with friends.

We found the hotel to be very clean and in good condition. The bedrooms were spacious with air conditioning. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic choice although getting the toast done was a bit slow with only two appliances.

We found the hotel staff very polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Everybody spoke perfect English as did most of the people in the city The hotel was close to most attractions with the Danube about 10 minute walk away.

Its a great hotel for any weekend trip as you are only sleeping and having breakfast other than that you would be out exploring a wonderful city.

Room Tip: All he rooms appear to be the same style and size from our experience so no advantage
