This hotel was a nice surprise for us. On arrival, the entrance is a bit odd, since the hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building block, even though you are informed about it, Once at the reception, we were greeted by very friendly staff, and once we were shown our room, we were very impressed. Very large and spacious and most important, clean. We were even provided with a complimentary bottle of local wine. The bathroom also had a jacuzzi! Apart from all this the hotel is situated in the heart of Budapest with practically walking distance to all major sites. Also, on exit you find a tram stop and metro station within 40 mtrs. Optional breakfast is provided in a nearby cafe, which we also found that it serves nice food as well. You also get a money exchange practically next door. Our verdict 9/10.

Panorama is located right across from the Great Synagogue and the trendy Jewish Quarter within an easy walk to most squares (inc. free walking tours). Also next to all major transit lines.
Once you figure out the odd entry protocol, you are greeted by friendly helpful 24/7 staff as well as hot tea, filtered water, and cookies. Enter your smallish but clean room to find a nice bottle of wine (with opener and wine glasses) waiting.
Tips: To ensure hot water, just ask the desk to flip the switch 1/2 hour before you want it.

It was a really nice place - the rooms were big and comfortable and there was a jacuzzi! The wifi was not consistently on, which was frustrating but other than that it was great. The staff were able to organize a shuttle to the airport for us for about 8 euro. The hotel was in a great location as well.

Room Tip: Looks pretty sketchy from the outside and walking up the stairs to the hotel, but were pleasantly su...

We really enjoyed our stay the Budapest Panorama Central. The entranceway is a bit intimidating, but the hotel (on the third floor) is really nice. I'm quite certain I didn't book an upgraded room, but it appeared I got one; we had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room and there was a jetted tub. The hotel staff appear to be college students, but they're wonderful - especially Aran. The hotel is close to the metro lines, a few blocks away from the Danube, and close to many other interesting sights. What a deal.

Had a bit of difficulty finding the place but once we did we were very happy with the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast is provided by a restaurant a 2 minute walk away. As the name suggests, right in the centre of Budapest and within easy walking distance of everything you're likely to want to see whilst visiting the city.

We are currently staying at the hotel, and have enjoyed our one week visit thus far. Many reviewers have commented on the hotel entrance, but there is nothing shady about it - the building is shared by local businesses and tenants and the entrance is not meant to be for a hotel. But the area is perfectly safe and the entrance, including the elevator going up to the 3rd floor where the hotel is located, is always lit.

On our first day, we arrived quite early and the receptionist checked us in as early as possible. At first, we were checked into a room with a jacuzzi tub, however both my partner and I prefer a shower - the receptionist immediately changed our room for us, with no hassle. Our current room (#9) is also large, as well as bright, spotless, and comfortable. We were welcomed with a bottle of Hungarian wine.

The small hotel is spotless and always smells fresh and clean- rare for such an old building. The location is perfect - we have not had to use public transportation or taxis since our arrival. Surrounding the hotel, there are tons of bars and restaurants, both touristy and local, as well as several supermarkets. We did not choose to have the breakfast at the Bali Cafe as offered by the hotel for 3 euros - it looked tempting but we prefer to grab items at the grocer and eat on the go.

Overall, we are very happy with our stay here and would choose to stay here again. The price, location, and cleanliness are big draws.

We have just come back from a four-night break in Budapest. We were given an excellent room (room 2) which has incredibly high ceilings and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. It's true to say that the room overlooks a busy street which, if you like your windows open at night and usually live in the country, can mean a bit of a disturbed night's sleep but we just kept the windows closed after night one! We had a fridge (very useful to put the complimentary bottle of white wine in), cups & glasses and there was also a double electric hotplate & microwave but we didn't use these facilities. Our room was just off reception and there is a water cooler & boiler there so you can make tea and coffee (nice selection of tea bags and Gold Blend coffee) anytime you like. There are also delicious biscuits to help yourself to. Breakfast was included in our package and was served at the Bali café about 2 minute walk away. There were five choices for breakfast but I like the cheese omelette so much that I had that every day! Not only is this hotel very clean but the staff (with special mention for Dorka) are very friendly & helpful. If you have a late flight, you can leave your luggage in their safe area. The hotel is very close to the metro, and trams/buses stop right outside as well. Very safe area, lots of restaurants & bars close by, and even a Tesco within a five minute walk. Budapest is an incredible destination and if you want a centrally located, friendly, clean and safe hotel, then look no further than the Budapest Panorama Central.
