“Good budget hotel”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

The hotel has great location. The staff were all friendly. Breakfast (served in a cafe on the same street as the hotel) was good. About the safety, the hotel itself is good and safe. However, the entrance hall on the ground floor is dark in the evening. On one evening when I came back to the hotel around twelve midnight, a homeless was sleeping just in front of the door of the building. It was kind of scary. Free wi-fi was good. The facility is nothing fancy but good enough and clean. The room is spacious.

Very nice hotel located inside an old and spoiled building. On the stairway it seems to be back in the 40s or the 50s. Very romantic. The location is excellent, just in front of the Great Synagogue: You can easily reach the most important places of Budapest on foot. Highly recommended.

As we entered the front ground floor area, after walking past and having to double check the address, we worried that we had made a mistake. The building and elevator look so run down. But worry not, as the hotel on the third floor is an oasis. Everything clean, fresh, and rooms with high ceilings and excellent ac and Wi-Fi. We were welcomed with a complementary bottle of Hungarian wine. There is a waste cooler in the lobby and cookies, tea and coffee.
The staff are all very nice, and there is a communal fridge and microwave in the kitchen.
Local phone calls are free. While breakfast is not included, the hotel sells vouchers for a nice breakfast at a coffee shop meant for 3 euros.
Location is excellent as well- walking distance to all central attractions.
Highly recommended.

This hotel was a nice surprise for us. On arrival, the entrance is a bit odd, since the hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building block, even though you are informed about it, Once at the reception, we were greeted by very friendly staff, and once we were shown our room, we were very impressed. Very large and spacious and most important, clean. We were even provided with a complimentary bottle of local wine. The bathroom also had a jacuzzi! Apart from all this the hotel is situated in the heart of Budapest with practically walking distance to all major sites. Also, on exit you find a tram stop and metro station within 40 mtrs. Optional breakfast is provided in a nearby cafe, which we also found that it serves nice food as well. You also get a money exchange practically next door. Our verdict 9/10.

Panorama is located right across from the Great Synagogue and the trendy Jewish Quarter within an easy walk to most squares (inc. free walking tours). Also next to all major transit lines.
Once you figure out the odd entry protocol, you are greeted by friendly helpful 24/7 staff as well as hot tea, filtered water, and cookies. Enter your smallish but clean room to find a nice bottle of wine (with opener and wine glasses) waiting.
Tips: To ensure hot water, just ask the desk to flip the switch 1/2 hour before you want it.

It was a really nice place - the rooms were big and comfortable and there was a jacuzzi! The wifi was not consistently on, which was frustrating but other than that it was great. The staff were able to organize a shuttle to the airport for us for about 8 euro. The hotel was in a great location as well.

Room Tip: Looks pretty sketchy from the outside and walking up the stairs to the hotel, but were pleasantly su...
