“Nice stay”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

A nice clean hotel in the centrum. Nice comfort beds but bad pillows. Breakfast is very good, lots of choices. Swimming pool is a nice place to relax at the evening. Strange rooms with mirrors on the ceiling.

Located in the business district (quiet streets at night - probably too quiet), clean room and decent service. Great breakfast options, but use of pool/gym costs extra(!!!). Great proximity to St Stephens basilica and Chain Bridge. As another reviewer mentioned, strange promo video pimping out the hotel...

Booked seperately through Booking. Com. Good deal offered for 5 days. Rooms rather strange, with mirrors on walls and ceiling, and a muriel of St Stephens Church on main wall. So quite garish really, but clean. Bathroom ok, no bath. Small room but adequate. We asked for high floor as like the views in city, had a small balcony but side view, nothing special. Beds ok, clean. Asked for more pillows. Aircon not the best really warm at night. As if power supply drained. Ok during the day!!!! Located near to church, local bars, so not bad. Breakfast continental, usual, fruit, meats, rolls, eggs, sausage, skinny bacon. Ok, but had better. Extra charge for pool etc. Didnt bother so cant comment. Overall not bad for short stay.

Room Tip: Lower floor better air con. Ask for front room. Nicer view.

The terrace bar here is fantastic with panoramic views of the city, we were given a complimentary glass of champagne too. This is definitely a very professional hotel with good service. The room was reasonably priced and very modern. It did lack a little bit of charm. The one thing that I will never forget is the promo vid which is played on loop on the TV in the room (until you change channel of course) which promotes the hotel president as being a good place to have an affair?! it's hysterical.

Stayed here one night, but the hotel was quiet, solid, desk-staff nice, professional and friendly. Room was an singlebed room, but clean, light, spacious, wifi worked, I had a good sleep.
The spa area is an extra, with swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi, I used it for extra charge, because was not included in my room rate (I was informed before that).
Breakfastroom was not very spacious or friendly, but the food was OK, and with a large choice.
This is not a budget hotel, but if you getting a good deal is worth to try it.
Metro station 3 minutes walk, Opea, Basilica, Danube very close, walking distance. Good connectins the freqvented parts of the city.
I can truly recommend it for everyone!

Positive: Fast and friendly check in; nice room on 1st floor (I was worried it would be loud since it faced a the hotel courtyard and a street, but no problems except for the really loud firealarm but that is the point of it); really nice view from the roof top terrace (which you do pay for; cheaper option have a drink before or after dinner and eat elsewhere or in the other hotel restaurant, same menue but much cheaper)
I was there for business, but the location is good for sightseeing too.
Soso: breakfeast is in the basement, the food is okay but not quite what i was hoping for after having dinner on the roof top terrace; service is hit and miss (reception staff is great, restaurant a bit rude, but I was told that is normal in Budapest); the bathroom was big and had natural light, but the tub lacked a door or curtain so I was careful not to flood the bathroom all the time.
All in all an nice place but some attention to detail is needed.

The initial impression of the hotel is a good one, and the location within walking distance of the Basilica, Parliament and river are all saving features. However, the hotel seems to suffer from a lack of maintenance and care, The bath in our room was missing a shower screen, and although the front desk was always staffed, we missed a friendly smile. Breakfast was not impressive, with milk that appeared to be watered rather more than was palatable.
