I really wanted to give this place five stars. The staff are great and the apartments are lovely. Huge apartment in the city centre. I was there on my own but you would comfortable fit four people there. I found the fitness room one of the days there and there was a sauna too which looked in working order. Lots of amenities nearby and when sightseeing you can always pop back to the apartment to eat/ drop off stuff/ get changed. I'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: Call the apartment staff if there is any noise... don't try to sleep through it.

We just stayed there last week and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The administration staff are very helpful and courteous. The night receptionist was a bit cranky and did not speak English. So my advice would be to get to the apartments, and just call the admin staff on the phone. Get the phone number in advance if you can. This way you will be greeted with warm Hungarian hospitality and shown to your room. Highly recommend it for friends and families and couples.

The Leda apartments are fantastic. I stayed here with three of my friends. We were on a girls weekend away and needed a nice relaxing break. The apartments were spotless, airy, spacious and really nice. We could not believe the amount of space we had!! Two bedrooms - two bathrooms and acres of wardrobe space!! The kitchen was extremely well equipped, you could easily cook in if you needed to. We tended to get fresh pastries and fruit for breakfast from the many local bakeries/shops.
The location was perfect too - 10 to 20 minute walk to most places. Lots of nice friendly "local" bars in the area and restaurants.
Only one downside was the bin men at 06.30 Monday morning!!
Would definately recommend anyone to stay here, great value for money!!

I stayed at the Leda Apartments for nine days in December 2010. The apartment I was in (#207) was roomy and comfortable. It consisted of a fairly large bedroom, with a balcony; a larger than normal bathroom by European standards; and a combination living room (with L-shaped leather couch and TV), dining area (with a table and four chairs) and a kitchen area, with stove, oven, microwave, coffee-maker, plenty of glasses, dishes and silverware. It was quiet, but I was in the rear of the building, so I can't speak to the apartments in the front. There was an elevator that worked well and a room on the first floor with many garbage containers, where you could throw out your trash. The building is locked at all times and you are given a pass code to enter on a keypad to open the front door. It also had a person who was at a desk on the main floor, acting as a guard or watchperson 24/7. The staff was very friendly and helpful and check-in went very smoothly. They also provided me with many brochures for sightseeing, shopping, attractions, etc. There is a small grocery store less than a five-minute walk from the apartment, as well as an Internet cafe less than five minutes away and they only charged 180 HUF (approximately .87 cents USD) per hour on the Internet. There is also a brand new Starbucks about a ten-minute walk from the apartment and it's very nice - it has two floors, with WiFi all through it. The apartment is also only about a five-minute walk from a major shopping thoroughfare. If you hop on the streetcar in front of the Starbucks, you can go two stops and be at a 400-store mall that has the most eating places in it that I have ever seen in a mall. All in all, it is a nice and reasonable place to stay and has a great staff to assist you. Just remember that it's an apartment, not a hotel, so you don't have a restaurant, room service, etc. But there are plenty of different eating establishments in any direction, so you won't starve! I would stay there again and recommend it, especially for families.

To me Tripadvisor has gotten to where everyone tries to oneup the last person on how much they can pay for a 5-star hotel. Who wants a Business hotel full of luxury tourists supplying American meals at top prices. It's a great way to visit a country and never see it.
The Leda Apartments start at about 40-50 euros a night for a great, quiet spacious, clean apartment with Washing Machine toaster, coffee pot, stove, refrigerator, iron TV and free internet. If you are traveling with a family, it's the only way to go, as a couple it was fantastic. Several top restaurants within 50 yards as well as markets and cafe's. A couple hundred meters from one of the largest tram and metro hubs and walking distance from the Chain Bridge and the Danube.
A jewel of a find in Budapest. In hot summer, A/C runs about 10/day but in September, we didn't need or want it.

This place is simply amazing. The building first and foremost, is luxurious. The apartment is newly renovated and CLEAN. I am a tidy person, and this was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed (including hotels). The washing machine was so convenient, and there was a shop on the corner where you could buy any supplies needed. The kitchen was well equipped, and the kitchen/freezer was huge! The location was wonderful, walking distance from everything on the Pest side of town. The only downside was that you couldn't control the temperature of the room and were forced to open the windows. This wouldn't have been a problem normally, but one night there was a lunatic breaking glass in the parking lot below. The room we were in faced a carpark and decrepit looking building. Shame we only booked two nights. When we asked to stay an extra night, they tried to find us something, and we were kind of left scrambling the next day to find somewhere to spend an extra night. If we had known how nice it was we would have booked three nights from the get go. Lovely, lovely place. I'm buying it and moving to Budapest. ;-p
