Owner description: The Aquaworld is one of the biggest indoor water theme parks in Europe offers unforgettable entertainment to visitors of every age throughout the year. The adventure centre is covered by a giant dome, 5-storey high and of a diameter of 72 m. It is so big it could host comfortably a family of blue whales, the biggest animals on Earth. The monumental replica Angkor temple surrounded by suspension bridges, towers and pools is a breath-taking sight. The world of the "serene statues" is a perfect counterpoint to the use of the most modern architectural and technical solutions, in line with the Aquaworld conception, to create a modern shrine of aquatic culture offering complex adventures to visitors. Aquaworld is located on the northern outskirts of Budapest, at the Pest abutment of Megyeri Bridge, along the M0 ring, in a green area, yet close to the town centre. It has an outdoor car park with a capacity of more than 1000, easily accessible via the Aquaworld exit of the new Budapest M0 ring.

“Aqua "Small Town" If from US = 2 stars, Europe = 3 stars”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

If you are from the US and have visited Wet n' Wild, The Beach, etc. - this will be a big let down. If you live in Europe, it will be pretty decent.
We have a toddler - and the two-hour pass was all we needed (you get an extra 15 minutes for changing, etc.). There is a free shuttle bus that runs from Heroes' Square (Hősök tere).
It is open every day from 0600-2200, BUT the rides don't start until 1000, we got there at 0915 and waited until they turned the water on to the slides, and provided "lifeguards" or "water cops" as I like to call them, adults are not allowed to accompany children on some slides.
You get a wristband, which corresponds to a specific locker #, you can lock up your stuff, but when I went to get a towel, it seemed like we were the first people in years to have asked this question, even though towel rentals are on the price list, and after two people, they finally unlocked a room and added three towels to our wristband. Upon further investigation, almost everyone else there had brought their own towels.
The lunch facility looked nice, although since we had two hour tickets, we left just before it opened.
I will say that it is "o.k." for toddlers, if I read this review I would skip it. There are height restrictions for the only two rides that seemed fun, so probably a good day for parents with kids older than 8 or 9. Front desk staff was very helpful in ensuring we could make it back to the city center, but we were able to just make the shuttle bus back because it was running a little late.

“Indoor adventure pool, 11 slides of a total length of almost 1 km adventure and entertainment throughout the year.”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

All the way we go… in the indoor adventure pool, 11 slides of a total length of almost 1 km guarantee adventure and entertainment throughout the year.

The slide tower next to the dome, the entry point of 6 giant slides, is accessible by glass lift or stairs. The bravest can take a breathtaking ride from as high as 17 m. There is also a wideslide big enough to accommodate three slides side by side; an onion slide offering a shorter but all the more intensive experience, and a 180 m mountain river flanked with steep rocks, designed expressly for the most adventuresome.

“amazing for kids”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

A bit outside the city centre (north of it) Aquaworld is an amazing place. Specially in summer, as you can also enjoy its gardens. Many pool games for each age, and a very nice inside restaurant/cafeteria allowing you to spend the whole day there. If you spend a long stay in Budapest, and your children are bored from visiting too much ;).... this is a good place to have fun.

“Good but nothing special”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

Our experience at Aquaworld was good. We read a few reviews before going so were well informed what it was about. It wasn't a "have to" but was still fun. The slides were good, could have been faster or bit more exciting. We spent about 3 hours there and the baths outside in the sun on a good day were nice. Don't go here if you are expecting a really adrenaline packed time. On the website is mentions that only some slides are open during the week and all slides are open all the time on the weekends. We emailed prior to going and were informed that all the slides were open from 2pm on fridays. So good to ring or email them beforehand to make sure, also one slide was closed and our of order.

“For kids: fantastic!”
Reviewed 3 May 2014 via mobile

After a city walk or days, this is a fantastic treat for kids. Kids under 1.40 are limited to take the slides. But if you go to the sauna area and you are signing a agreement your child his having a pink bracelet and he or she can take every slide! My boys really enjoyed it.
