Situated on the Vaci Utca, Cosmo City Hotel is very close to the Central Market, Jewish Quarter, National Museum and Danube. The trams and the Metro station (Talvin Ter) are within five minutes' walk away. Last but not least, there are lots of good restaurants close at hand (although the Cosmo restaurant itself was closed during my stay).
A relatively small, modern hotel, I found it to be spotlessly clean with extremely helpful and efficient reception staff. If you can achieve a good deal on Booking.com etc., it also represents good value (but if paying the full price, I think it is rather expensive for a 3 star hotel).
Only downside, from my point of view, was that the buffet breakfast (included in the room rate) was rather limited and, over a 5 night period, did not offer any variation whatsoever. My room, opposite the 'service store', was also quite noisy first thing in the morning when the cleaners arrived.
However, in general, I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and would stay there again myself.More
