“Great place, terrible people”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

overall the hotel is nicely equiped. Breakfast is really good, rooms are modern and clean, my room was spacious, had a fridge, a cofee machine, nice bathroom (more modest than the room itself but equiped with all that matters like airdryer and so). Hotel is close to station - more or less 7 minutes walking - wich is important since the hotel is far away from the cebntre of the city. With the metro you could be there in 13 min. a Mini Market with fresh fruits and water, Macdonalds, Kentucky fried chicken and a chinese restaurant are close, for those who appreciate it. It is stated there is a fitness center at the hotel Not true. It is out side the hotel, 10 min. walking.
The employees of the Hotel are really not nice at all. I mean, you could say it is a question of language dificulties from their part... But for someone who as been all over the world and managed to comunicate with people who literally did not spoke any of the 8 languages i speak, i have to say hungarian people and particularly the people who worked in this hotel, are not at all nice and complicate things taht should not be complicated. Now, i can live with modest instalations...i just cannot stand rudness and unpoliteness. Won´t be back to this hotel. that´s all have to say

The positive opinions of the majority of the previous reviewrs was confirmed.
We had a very pleasant 3 nights short break stay.
Very clean and confortable rooms with good free wifi signal.
The breakfast is OK.
Staff very nice and helpful.
Altough its not located in the city center, there are lots of public transportation options; you can get to the city center and to the main tourist attractions in 5 to 10 minutes metro or bus ride.

It is a good hotel, but I expected more, given the 4-Star rating. Anyway, they have good breakfast, with some traditional treats, and the accomodation is very comfortable. It is very small, though, there is not much room to move inside the room that we booked for two. The service is good, too, the staff is very polite and helpful.

Stayed for three nights with friends. Nice new hotel with clean rooms and good shower facility. Wifi good. Staff unfriendly, especially reception staff. Location is not good, quite near a rough area, lots of strange people hanging around nearby. Lots of roadworks and temporary fencing everywhere. Good 20 mins walk into centre. Word of warning don't flag down a taxi off the street you will get ripped off or even threatened. Get the hotel to call city cars or another licensed operator.

Dear Valued Guest, dear ross1979,

thank you for having choosen the Royal Park Boutique Hotel and for taking the time to tell us about your experiences. I'd like to tell you that is very important for us that you shared your feedback with us.

I wish to express you how disappointed am I, because our reception could not meet your expectations. I immediately did all the necessary steps in order to avoid situations like this and we held a very useful training aswell.
Concerning the road- and square renovation works, they belong the the new metro line M4, which will be opened very soon. It means, that these works will be terminated in the next weeks too.

I really hope that we can welcome you after that time again.

Kindest regards,

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, and were satisfied with everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small, but very clean and pretty modern. We especially liked the shower see-trough glass, it was fun. The hotel is very well situated, near all the public transport (metro and bus station is 2 minutes walk away). There are also some nice restaurants located near, and there is KFC, Burger King, and even Spar store in the near area. The street where the hotel is located didn't seem very safe, so we booked a parking spot in their underground garage in advance. Although keep in mind the elevator takes the car to the garage, so there are some car size limitations. The service in the hotel was near perfect, they changed our towels the next day of our stay, even though we stayed only 2 nights. The breakfast was very nice and rich, there was plenty of different food for every taste, and the food tasted very good. Also one more compliment to the staff - when we booked out, we were headed to the spa (which is in the hotel offer through their special deals on their website), and we were not sure whether there was any parking spots there (later we found out there is a safe parking garage, so that wasn't a problem), and the staff were so nice that they offered us to keep our car in the garage till we get back from the spa. So i guess you can keep that in mind, if you want to "check out late", and see some more of the city on foot, on the last day of your trip. All in all, Royal Park Boutique hotel was a nice experience during our stay in Budapest.

Very Good hotel and great value - location was a bit of a let down (only down to the amount of roadworks going on at the moment) but you do have access to tram, metro transport - and you are located right next to a spa supermarket if needing any groceries

Room was very clean and tidy - bathroom glass only revealing from head height upwards

Staff were very friendly and helpful

Would easily recommend staying here when in budapest

Hotel is nice and at the right location if you want to travel to nearby international cities as Keleti International station is right infront. Staff very helpful, shower has a glass which faces bedroom but blinds covers and it didnt bother me. Websites says Limousine package so expect a limo to pick up but hotel do not have a limo so dont get too excited wid misleading limo package. Other than that all good.
