Was very pleased with our large twin room and was able to use the shared kitchen and pleasant bathrooms and shared desktop computer. Staff were very helpful and showed us how to get round by trams, metro and places to see + looked up how to get to airport etc. Could store our baggage when we left for last day. No common room but everyone very nice in kitchen area and was a great base to walk to central market and centre or you can get the tram or metro too. Also £11/night each for a private room - you can't go wrong really can you?

We stayed as a group and had most of the landing to ourselves. There are a few shops, cafe/bars and restaurants around the area if you do not fancy going into the centre. Everyone in the group found that there was enough romm with plenty of showers and toilets.

In may I was on a business trip from my universtity with 4 other students in Hungary, so I had to find a place to stay. This hostel was really helpful when I asked about booking and payment methods through email, and also when I arrived. Room was large and clean, we had all we needed- kitchen, toilets, showers, wifi and so on. I look forward to come ack and stay there next year aswell.

The hostel is in a huge old building, a bit scary seen from the outside, but very pleasant inside.
People at the reception desk are very nice, always pleased to give advice.
The privat rooms (single, double or three beds) are modern and a bit charmless, on the ground floor. But very clean. The dorms or common rooms (four beds) are upstairs, in typical appartments, more charm, but the accomodation is necessarely less clean :) (I've slept in both types of room)
Conclusion : Very cheap for the quality of service and rooms. Not in the very center of the city, but not far neither (20 minutes walking, 7 minutes by tram). I totally recommend this hotel, if you're not looking for luxury comfort, only clean, nice and cheap hotel!

xxx

The place is quite nice. Rooms are great and clean. kitchen is nice and big. No breakfast. No commenroom. Not a good place to meet other travellers. Its FAR from the citycenter. You have to take busses and trams. One-day tramticket 24h, is 1650 forints. Walking distance is MINIMUM 30 min, if you walk fast. Staff is helpful. good place to wash your clothes - it can try on the terasse, and costs only 1000 forints / 4 euros.

When I was in Vienna, I decided to visit Budapest for a couple of days as Budapest is worth visiting and near from Vienna.

The hotel was good choice to stay; the staffs were friendly and good English speakers. For the first night I stayed at the main building and room was just ok. Next morning I asked the manager if they have a better separate room. They showed me a much better room in next building having a nice big room with attached bath and a separate kitchen. Of course, I paid more for having a fancy room.

The staffs helped me a lot showing me the city map of Budapest, which was a great support for me travelling alone and for the first time.

Myself and two other friends (all of us 18) stayed at this hostel for 7 nights from the end of June. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience, the 24 hour receptionists were always there to give advice, ring taxis or give tips and directions to where the best places in the city were. The room itself was immaculately presented whilst although basic, fulfilled all our needs. Before leaving for our trip we had some reservations about the shared bathrooms as we decided to save some money and go for the cheaper room options, however our fears were eradicated when we arrived with all the shower rooms and bathrooms being maintained to the highest level of cleanliness. I would highly reccommend this hostel and if i ever return to Budapest, will 100% return to this hostel.

Room Tip: En suite bathroom rooms have a much larger and more communal kitchen/ living area than shared bathro...
