My husband and I recently stayed at the Bohem Art Hotel on the recommendation of other Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The location was excellent - we really liked the Belvaros area and its villagey feel (although not so keen on the Vaci Utca which was a bit too touristy for our liking). The staff spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful and friendly. We booked directly to take advantage of the free one way airport transfer which was incredibly smooth and efficient. We also booked a taxi back to the airport via the hotel which was very good value if paid for in the local currency - 5800 fts. The hotel was very stylish and immaculately clean. The room was a little on the small side which is the only reason I haven't given an excellent rating - it was fine for three nights when you're out of the hotel most of the time. The complimentary drinks and snacks from 2 - 5 pm were a very nice touch, as were the apples on reception. The breakfasts, as other guests have testified, were superb and definitely a huge selling point for the hotel. They were probably the best we have encountered anywhere - lots of local, original items, declicious breads, hot items and the complimentary champagne a little touch of luxury. We arrived quite late and the hotel recommended two restaurants to us - we opted for the Gepart Es Urhajo which was just a few minutes walk away by the river. Excellent service and food. They also recommended the Spirit which was again a few minutes walk away, just across the Vaci Utca. We didn't eat there in the end, but it looked very nice. However, a real gem of a find and closer than both the other restaurants was the Chef Cafe which was just a minute down the Molina Utca, on the left as you come out of the hotel. It was probably one of our best restaurant experiences anywhere, ever! One of the owners (who doubled as our waiter) bent over backwards with the chef to make me, a vegetarian, a delicious meal. The cold sorrel soup for starters was delicious. It was a top end experience in a beautiful restaurant with truly outstanding
service and all at an affordable price. Amazing. The Bohem Art Hotel really should be recommending this restaurant to its customers as it is just the most amazing place. All in all, the Bohem Art Hotel was a great choice for our stay in Budapest and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are lovely but quite 'compact' - on hindsight, it might have been better...

Our room was TINY, like bed touched 3 walls, but it was SO COOL! Crazy chains to get to the bed and 70's bling mural on the wall. The size might have gotten to me if we had stayed longer but for a couple of nights it was great. The breakfast was also fantastic. We were gone 11 nights and my boyfriend fondly remembers that one breakfast as one of this best meals on vaca. Oh, and the staff was very nice and always had great recommendations for us.

5 star Hotel, with beautiful surrounds ... the decor and art is brilliant. The rooms were ultra modern and clean. The bar was open until midnight and a great spot to have a quiet drink. The breakfast was amazing with a huge and I mean huge variety on offer including champagne. The staff were extremely helpful, storing our luggage for the day and then organising a taxi for us to the train station at a fixed price. The Hotel is central to all the tourist sites, there is a great shopping and restaurant strip a street away if you are looking for somewhere for dinner. I would most definately stay here again and would highly recommend.

Good value, great food (breakfast only) staff second to none. Location just right. rooms with their picture on the walk really different and fun. This hotel is really good, the staff can't do enough for you, they're all young and smile all the time.

Room Tip: Ash for extra pillows for your bed, the only thing I didn't like (and it's such a small thin...

Location is absolutely perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Budapest.
Everything is literally at your doorstep.

The breakfast was very good and the service from the very friendly and knowledgeable concierge was outstanding.
The only gripe we had was that the room we booked was very, very small. The beds were extremely narrow for an adult male. The bathroom was a good size and had a great shower.

Overall a very positive experience but perhaps if you can afford it, upgrade to a bigger room from the basic ones.

Clean, spacious and ideally located - what more could you ask for from a hotel? The Bohem is not only walking distance from many of the main attractions in Budapest, but the staff were friendly, the breakfast was excellent and the rooms themselves are neat, styish and very clean. The hotel even provides complimentary tea and coffee every afternoon! I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
