Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 25 May 2014

the Boscolo residence was an excellent experience, the hotel is situated in the center off town close enough to walk to most interesting points. the hop on hop off station is at the corner of the hotel, there are 3-4 restaurants at a short distance from the hotel. the hotel is relatively new with excellent spaced rooms with all the needed utilities if you want to take a small meal in the room.
all in all EXCELLENT.

The residence was conveniently located in the city with easy access to the public transport system. The airport shuttle was easy to use as a counter is in the arrivals area and they drop you to the hotel for a fixed fee which for four of us was around 30 euro. Be careful on the return to book the shuttle yourself and not through the hotel which charges a premium of 1500 florint pp versus 4500 for 4 if you booked directly. We chose not to include breakfast from the hotel as there are many eateries and bakeries in the area for a fresh croissant or pastry and unlimited coffee in the reception area.
We chose to use public transport to explore and it's very well connected throughout the city. It took us a while to realize that the street crossings are all underground walkways and your sense of direction is challenged figuring out which exit to emerge from! We found that the 72 hour unlimited pass was great value and incredibly easy to use. They have plain clothes inspectors everywhere who check tickets and the ticket system seemed complicated whereas the pass was great. Be sure to only have it timed from when you plan to use it! It's good on the metro, buses and trams! Tram number 2 on the pest side and 19 on the buda side take you along the Danube for an amazing scenic journey especially when the castle lights up at night. Bus 16 by the convenience store at the base of the funicular will take you up to the castle and avoid the lines of people waiting for the funicular!
The residence itself was immaculate and very comfortable! Access to the New York hotel is internal but easy to get lost in the hallways! We had a two bedroom suite but if it's two couples note that there is no door to close to the main bedroom off the living area if more privacy is required. Otherwise a great place to stay!

My girlfriend and me stayed the weekend in Budapest. Service was (as always) great. We had a nice apartment with balcony and the location was great. It's easy to get around from Blaha Lujza square.

We didn't use the sauna or the gym, but those looked fine. Also, it's easy to get to the NY cafe because there's a connecting hallway.

Spotlessly clean, bright and spacious, great location, well equipped kitchen, friendly, helpful staff. Washing machine provided but no iron or ironing board. Neck breaking overstuffed synthetic fiber pillows, take your own. Crazy thing going on with the shower, no avoiding water on the floor. Overall a great place to stay which I would not hesitate to recommend.

Very central on the side of Pest, close to food stores , shops and public transport. Excellent and luxurious self catering apartment, highly furnished with all amenities. Kitchen and bathroom well equipped, while bedroom has the most comfortable bedding. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Hotel is in a side street so view is restricted but once inside the room you forget outside. Enjoy...

I stay here every few months with work and it's a great place to be for business. The apartments mean I can hold meetings in the room without having to hire additional meeting space. Plus from a cost point of view, the well equipped kitchen etc means I can save on meal costs as I can nip out to one of the nearby stores and cook a quick meal back at the apartment. The staff seem only too delighted to assist and have always been very helpful and flexible with me. There are lots of disappointing hotels in Budapest but you won't be upset if you choose this place.
